The screen now turns off when you close the lid
With Mac mini Mode on, macOS never sleeps, so if display sleep is set to Never (remote desktop apps often do this) the screen stayed lit inside the closed lid.
- Closing the lid now switches off the built-in display's backlight within about a second, and opening it restores the previous brightness.
- Only the backlight changes. The Mac does not lock, and video calls, remote desktop and other running apps are not interrupted.
- An external display is never touched.
- Turn it off any time with Turn Off Screen When Lid Is Closed in the menu.
If the screen is ever still dark after you open the lid, press the brightness-up key (F2), or run macminimode screen-on over a remote connection.
合盖后屏幕会自动熄灭
Mac mini 模式下系统不睡眠，如果显示器睡眠被设成「永不」（远程桌面软件常这么做），合盖后屏幕会一直亮着。
- 现在合上盖子约一秒内关掉内建屏幕的背光，开盖恢复原来的亮度。
- 只关背光：不会锁屏，也不会打断视频通话、远程桌面和其他正在运行的应用。
- 接着外接显示器时不会动它。
- 菜单里的「合盖时熄灭屏幕」可以随时关闭。
万一开盖后屏幕还是黑的，按键盘上的亮度增加键（F2）即可；远程连着的话也可以运行 macminimode screen-on。

Quit now really stops it
Thanks to @doushaohua (#2).
The menu's Quit is now Quit and Allow Sleep. It switches to Always Off, waits until macOS confirms sleep is allowed again, and only then quits. Before, quitting removed the menu bar icon while the background service kept preventing sleep.
Behavior change: if you used to quit the icon just to tidy the menu bar while keeping the Mac awake, that no longer works. Quitting turns the mode off, and it stays off until you choose Automatic or Always On again.
Only the menu item does this. Logging out, restarting, shutting down, updating the app, or quitting it from Activity Monitor leaves your selected mode alone.
退出现在真的会停止
感谢 @doushaohua 的贡献（#2）。
菜单里的「退出」改为**「退出并恢复睡眠」**：切换到「始终关闭」，确认系统已经允许睡眠后才退出。以前退出只是菜单栏图标消失，后台服务仍在阻止睡眠。
行为变化：如果你以前退出图标只是为了让菜单栏清爽一点、同时让电脑继续保持唤醒，现在不能这样用了。退出会关闭模式，之后要重新选择「自动」或「始终开启」才会恢复。
只有点菜单里的这一项才会这样。注销、重启、关机、应用更新，或在活动监视器里退出，都不会改变你选的模式。

- Health Check in the menu: one click checks the background service, Remote Login, Screen Sharing, battery, FileVault, and whether other software has been changing power settings. Copy Diagnostics puts a report on your clipboard for bug reports; nothing is uploaded.
- Command line:
macminimode status,macminimode on|off|auto,macminimode log,macminimode check. Works from Shortcuts with Run Shell Script. - Low-battery protection: in Always On on battery, sleep is allowed again at 10% so the Mac does not run itself flat. It resumes at 15% or when plugged in.
- The log repairs itself if a cleaner app deletes it.

- 菜单新增体检：一键检查后台服务、远程登录、屏幕共享、电池、FileVault，以及有没有其他软件在改电源设置。「复制诊断信息」会把报告放进剪贴板，方便反馈问题，不会上传。

Makes the update check reliable behind shared networks and proxies.
The check no longer uses the GitHub API, which limits each IP address to 60 requests an hour and is often already used up on shared proxy exits. It now reads the latest version from the release page instead.

- Once a day it asks GitHub whether a newer version exists
- A new version is downloaded, its signature is verified, and you are asked before anything is installed
- Use Check for Updates… in the menu to check right away, or uncheck Check for Updates Automatically to turn it off
This is the last version you need to download by hand. Versions before 1.3.0 do not have the update check.

Fixes the Mac going to sleep overnight on machines where another app keeps changing power settings.
Some remote desktop and cleaner apps rewrite the system's power settings on a timer, which silently turns sleep back on. Earlier versions only noticed on a once-a-minute check, so the Mac could fall asleep in that gap and be hard to wake the next morning.
- The setting is now restored right away when another program changes it
- A second safeguard keeps the Mac from idle-sleeping in the meantime
- The log (menu bar icon → View Log) now says when this happens
修复：部分机器上合盖过夜后会睡过去、第二天难以唤醒。
有些远程桌面、清理优化类软件会定时改写系统电源设置，把「不睡眠」悄悄关掉。旧版每分钟才检查一次，机器可能在这段空窗里睡着。
- 设置被其他程序改动后立即恢复
- 增加第二道保险，空窗内也不会因闲置而睡眠
- 日志（菜单栏图标 → 查看日志）会记录这种情况
