SFTP Pilot 2.2.0
Usability release: several servers, whole folders, a remote file browser, a redesigned window with dark mode, and a Windows program that needs no Python.
Windows (no Python needed)
Download sftp-pilot-2.2.0-windows-x64.zip, extract it, then in that folder:
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File install.ps1This installs for your user (no administrator rights), adds a Start menu shortcut and puts your settings in %APPDATA%\SFTP Pilot. register-task.ps1 sets up Task Scheduler to run scheduled tasks while the window is closed; uninstall.ps1 removes everything and keeps your settings.
The programs are not code-signed, so Windows may say "Windows protected your PC". Check the SHA256 before choosing "Run anyway":

SHA256 10045948a0a8fa81270702dff34d9dd80b2d1deb31e58b3af246c14a25e0b0dc
(Get-FileHash .\sftp-pilot-2.2.0-windows-x64.zip -Algorithm SHA256). Some antivirus products dislike programs built with PyInstaller; pip install sftp-pilot gives you the same program from source.
Python
pip install -U sftp-pilot # add [keyring] for OS keyring supportWhat is new
- Several servers:
[server:name]sections; a named server never inherits another server's credentials; each scheduled task remembers its server - Folders and patterns: upload or download a whole folder or
*.csv; one bad file does not stop the rest - Remote file browser next to every remote path
- Host-key fingerprint prompt (
host_key_policy = ask) and optional OS keyring passwords - Redesigned window: light and dark theme (follows Windows), status bar, coloured task and history rows, sortable tables, filterable log, progress bar always in view
- Password logins no longer offer SSH agent keys first (slow, and trips
MaxAuthTrieson strict servers)

SFTP Pilot 2.1.0
Safer transfers and unattended runs.
- Uploads are atomic: written to
<name>.part, renamed into place; a failed or cancelled upload leaves the old file untouched - Cancel a transfer (GUI button, Ctrl+C in the console)
- Retries with growing delays for scheduled tasks
sftp-pilot --run-duefor Windows Task Scheduler and cron, safe alongside an open GUI (a task never runs twice)- Daily and weekday schedules; interval tasks no longer drift
- Run history in the GUI, the console and
sftp-pilot --history

SFTP Pilot 2.0.2
Fixes dead links on the PyPI project page: the README's links to the licence, disclaimer, changelog and config template were relative. No code changes.
SFTP Pilot 2.0.1
pip install sftp-pilot
sftp-pilot --init-config # writes config.ini here; then edit it
sftp-pilot- New
--init-config: writes a starterconfig.ini, never overwrites an existing one - The config template now ships inside the package (2.0.0 had none after a pip install)
- README quick start installs from PyPI
