Parachord Desktop v0.9.1-beta.1
Apple Music sync is finally trustworthy
- Playlist changes now propagate in both directions — tracks you remove locally actually disappear from the Apple Music copy, not just additions.
- Edits made on Android (or any other client) now flow all the way through to your Apple Music mirror via Spotify, instead of getting silently stuck on the desktop.
- When Apple's API rejects a write (rename, delete, replace), you get a clear "remove manually in the Music app" message instead of a confusing failure.
- Better recovery when Apple Music authorization gets stuck: new reauth dialog with step-by-step instructions, and we automatically disconnect locally so the Connect button actually works.
Friend sync (Last.fm + ListenBrainz)
- Friends you follow on Last.fm and ListenBrainz now import automatically, and unfollowing in Parachord pushes back to ListenBrainz.
- Manual sync button on the Friends tab for on-demand updates.
- New "Recently Active" sort hides friends who haven't listened in the last 2 weeks.
- Last.fm users with more than 50 friends now get all of them (previously capped).
Sync wizard improvements
- Playlists you're already syncing with a provider now show up pre-checked when you open the wizard — in either direction, push or pull.
- "Start Sync" now pushes local changes immediately instead of making you wait up to 15 minutes for the background timer.
Duplicate cleanup fixes
- Cleanup no longer leaves you with empty linked playlists on Apple Music.
- When duplicates include both a linked-empty and a populated copy with the same name, cleanup now keeps the populated one.
- Toasts correctly say "Apple Music" instead of hardcoding "Spotify."
Other
- SoundCloud reconnect prompt now fires when refresh tokens actually expire, instead of silently looping forever.
