Shared Sessions 0.11.20 fixes room recovery after automatic updates. Previously, switching to the plugin's in-place update copy could make a reopened session lose its shared room. Hosts and guests now recover their original room across that switch and when automatic updates are turned off. Stop sharing and Leave prevent an older saved checkpoint from bringing the room back.

Other improvements:

  • Setup checks the enabled plugin and the server it actually uses. Installation, update, and configuration failures stop the process instead of reporting success or changing later settings.
  • A shorter README includes a native invitation demo, installation choices, and a first shared session. The detailed reference is in the full guide.
  • Contributor instructions, issue forms, and CI cover the existing local checks on Node 20 and 24.

Use new sessions after updating; quit and reopen Claude Desktop if an existing session still uses the old installed copy. Both the installed and in-place copies need 0.11.20 or later for recovery across a loader switch. Legacy checkpoints migrate when the updated plugin loads under their original identity; data left in another older identity cannot be recovered automatically. See the recovery details.

Validation: eight CI jobs, 117 plugin tests, 57 real host/guest end-to-end checks, and four real Claude Code transitions covering host resume/stop and guest resume/leave in both directions. The transition checks made no model requests. Saved room files are private; consumed checkpoints retain only a credential-free marker.

Changes: #3.

Post-release verification: a clean install from GitHub main passed the actual public-server share → close → resume → stop and guest-join checks. A native Desktop guest also joined a terminal host, sent a prompt and displayed its Read tool card and correct reply. Both clients ran 0.11.20 on one Mac. All test rooms were ended.
