Host Support and Installation
These commands describe OpenSocrates 1.5.0. Use Node.js 20+ and make the chosen host available with its required login and permissions. Native runtimes are bundled; installation does not require Python. Windows native installation uses Windows PowerShell.
| Host surface | Platform and delivery |
|---|---|
| Codex | Apple-silicon Mac and Windows x64; existing hooks/controller/native runtime |
| Claude Code CLI / Desktop local Code | Apple-silicon Mac only; stateless native entry; Claude CLI and plugin/hook permissions required |
| Claude web Chat / Desktop Chat / Cowork | Portable content-only account ZIP exported on Mac or Windows; upload and enable in the account |
| Antigravity conversation application | Apple-silicon Mac and Windows x64; owned workspace or global rule/skill |
Native Windows Claude Code is outside v1.5 scope. Cursor, Grok Build, OpenCode, and retired legacy integrations are not current install targets. CLI, Desktop, Chat, Cowork, workspace, and global behavior require their own evidence.
After installing, use the illustrated setup guide / 화면으로 보는 설정 가이드 for per-host settings, completion checks and a request you can paste into an agent. The screenshots cover Mac Claude and Antigravity; Codex uses its official CLI hook-review route.
npx --yes opensocrates@1.5.0 install --host codex
npx --yes opensocrates@1.5.0 status --host codex
npx --yes opensocrates@1.5.0 update --host codexReview the seven OpenSocrates hooks in an interactive session, then start a fresh
conversation. Non-interactive execution may skip untrusted hooks. The default
host and --host all still select Codex; all does not install the new profiles.
Opt-in macOS automatic updates remain in the Codex lane. Windows updates are
manual. See the platform guides for removal, purge, and explicit trust reset.
npx --yes opensocrates@1.5.0 install --host claude
npx --yes opensocrates@1.5.0 status --host claudeReview host permissions and start a fresh local Code session. Ordinary requests
need no repeated slash command. Cloud, SSH, and WSL Code sessions are outside
this native claim. Use explicit update, diagnose, disable, enable, or
remove with the same host. Updates preserve disabled state.
Choose an existing absolute workspace directory:
npx --yes opensocrates@1.5.0 install --host antigravity --workspace /absolute/path/to/workspace
npx --yes opensocrates@1.5.0 status --host antigravity --workspace /absolute/path/to/workspaceOn Windows, use an absolute local-drive path and quote it:
npx --yes opensocrates@1.5.0 install --host antigravity --workspace "C:\Work\Reading Workshop"Omit --workspace for global scope. Keep the same scope for update, diagnose,
disable, enable, and remove; avoid duplicate workspace/global entry. The driver
preserves GEMINI.md, AGENTS.md, and unrelated rules. Start a fresh conversation
after lifecycle changes because loaded context survives file removal.
Export a verified skill ZIP to a new absolute filename in an existing folder:
npx --yes opensocrates@1.5.0 export --host claude-chat --output /absolute/path/to/opensocrates-1.5.0-account.zipOn Windows, use a quoted local-drive filename, for example
"C:\Work\OpenSocrates Exports\opensocrates-1.5.0-account.zip".
Upload and enable it through Claude's Customize > Skills interface. Back up
an existing OpenSocrates account skill and its enabled state before replacement.
Do not upload the native Claude ZIP. Account verify/export are local actions;
account activation, updates, and removal happen through Claude's interface.
Selection is model-directed and may be missed; an explicit OpenSocrates request can retry it. The account ZIP provides no hooks or every-message enforcement.
New Claude/Antigravity profiles have no purge, trust-reset, or automatic-update
route. Old multi-host installations are not silently adopted or erased; reconcile
their origin and ownership using the installer version that owned them.
status/diagnose report registration and integrity, not automatic delivery,
complete reading, application, or result quality.
Without local asset flags, install/update/verify/export download the pinned
release archive and checksum. Paired --asset and --checksum provide the
documented local-archive alternative. Follow the
Mac guide
or Windows guide
for exact paths, lifecycle, and recovery instructions.
