Transfers now run several chunks at a time — 4.3× faster downloads, 2.5× faster uploads, measured on a real link. Interrupted transfers resume in both directions, a dropped connection no longer ends a transfer, and there are Linux builds for the first time.

Downloads

Platform Download
macOS (Apple Silicon) Gstore-macos-arm64.dmg
macOS (Intel) Gstore-macos-intel.dmg
Windows 64-bit Gstore-windows-x64.zip
Linux x86_64 Gstore-linux-x64.tar.gz

Those links always resolve to the newest release. The Intel macOS build is produced by a best-effort job and may be absent.

Highlights

  • Several chunks at once, in both directions. Four streams by default; raise with GSTORE_DOWNLOAD_STREAMS / GSTORE_UPLOAD_STREAMS.
  • Downloads resume. Previously one timed-out chunk discarded the whole transfer — a 20 GB download could lose 19 GB.
  • Upload resume reports real chunk sizes, and the whole-file checksum is cached rather than recomputed on every retry.
  • A dropped connection retries instead of ending the transfer.
  • Cancel is a pause, and quitting mid-transfer no longer aborts the app.
  • Speed, ETA and a chunk counter in the progress line — and on macOS the percentage is finally visible at all.
  • A log file, beside the index, naming the chunk and account when something fails.
  • Linux builds.
  • Update notices, so future releases announce themselves. This one cannot — the check ships in it.

First launch

These builds are not code-signed, so the OS will warn you.

  • macOS — System Settings → Privacy & Security → "Open Anyway". Apple Silicon and Intel builds are not interchangeable.
  • Windows — SmartScreen: "More info" → "Run anyway". Unzip first and run Gstore.exe from the extracted folder.
  • Linux — tar -xzf Gstore-linux-x64.tar.gz && ./Gstore/Gstore, keeping the binary next to its files.

macOS asks for your login keychain password once, so Gstore can store its encryption key. Choose "Always Allow".

First launch

These builds are not code-signed, so the OS will warn you.

  • macOS — the app is blocked on first open. Go to System Settings
-> Privacy & Security, find the notice about Gstore, and choose
"Open Anyway". Apple Silicon and Intel builds are not
    interchangeable.
  • Windows — SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC". Choose
"More info" -> "Run anyway". Unzip first; run Gstore.exe from the
extracted folder, keeping it next to its files.

Gstore asks for your macOS login keychain password once, to store its
encryption key. Choose "Always Allow" so it does not ask again.
