v1.6.0: X65 Pro support, expanded layouts and runtime improvements

HallJoy 1.6.0

Released on 2026-09-21.
Includes IROK NA87 and AULA MINI 60 HE Pro support introduced in 1.5.3.

Keyboard support and layouts

• Ordinary ATTACK SHARK X65 Pro support with automatic layout and factory Fn
  handling; its testing notice is removed. Analogue input and gameplay are
  tester-confirmed. Other compatible ATTACK SHARK models remain experimental.
• Experimental IROK MG75 Pro native support, independent key depths including Fn,
  automatic layout and an orange Discord testing notice. Hardware validation is pending.
• Improved HERO84 automatic layout, key maps and physical Fn handling; support
  remains experimental. GravaStar V75 / Pro / Lite legacy revisions gain exact
  automatic selection and 79-key layouts with session remaps.
• Wooting 60HE v2, Split and UwU layouts. Split variants keep separate physical
  Space/Fn channels; their hardware validation remains pending.
• SayoDevice O3C always shows three physical keys automatically, using device
  bindings when readable and Key 1/2/3 otherwise. Manual layout uses Z/X/C.
• Additional Razer ANSI/JIS/ISO variants and Redragon K673 BR ABNT2 geometry.
  The catalog contains 121 source variants and 98 visible variants; identical
  layouts are grouped within their brand, preserving saved aliases and edits.

Fixes

• Corrected hidden Configuration controls reappearing after layout changes.
• Fixed Pause / failed-Resume cleanup resetting shared input state before the
  realtime producer had stopped.
• Reused the UI tick's analogue telemetry snapshot instead of collecting it again
  for Configuration / Gamepad Tester diagnostic hashing.
• Removed raw stack/register memory from ordinary crash reports. Optional logging
  remains separate from mandatory crash, missing-keyboard and failure reports.

Runtime and logging

• The bundled analogue DLL now lives in AppData instead of beside the EXE.
• With Enable logging on, HallJoy.log is saved in AppData and beside the EXE.
  If one destination is unavailable, the other continues independently.
• With logging off, bounded in-memory failure history remains; automatic incident
  and crash reports use the app data folder. Portable user-data storage is unchanged.

v1.5.3: NA87 and MINI60 HE Pro support

• Added native analog support for IROK NA87 and AULA MINI60 HE Pro (wired USB).
• Improved ATK Hex80 and IPI-family integration; added testing notices for unverified keyboard support.

v1.5.2: Fix Block Bound Keys shortcuts and input delay

• Fixed numpad shortcuts for Block Bound Keys so they work with Num Lock both on and off.
• Fixed delayed toggling and keys remaining pressed briefly after release when switching Block Bound Keys.

If you assigned a numpad shortcut in an older version, assign it again once after updating.

v1.5.1: Fix profile startup recovery

HallJoy 1.5.1

Fixes a startup failure that could prevent HallJoy from opening with older,
incomplete or damaged profile data, or a missing active profile.

Download

Download and run HallJoy.exe.
Close the previous HallJoy before replacing it. Do not delete your settings to update.
Only the EXE is needed to run HallJoy; there is no archive to extract.
If ViGEmBus is missing, HallJoy offers its embedded installer.

What changed

• Automatically tries valid settings, bindings and known backup files instead of
  closing with "HallJoy profile could not be loaded".
• Keeps recoverable data and resets unavailable parts when recovery is needed.
• Preserves original settings and bindings in .internal/ProfileRecovery inside
  the HallJoy data folder before replacing settings. Identical retries reuse the
  same backup instead of creating duplicate copies.
• Leaves other saved profiles, custom layouts and curve presets untouched.
• If safe backup or saving is blocked, continues in memory without saving changes
  and explains the limitation. Storage-folder initialization failures remain a
  separate issue; this update does not bypass Windows permissions.
• Adds 16 startup recovery regression scenarios, including repeated starts and
  failures at all five atomic-save stages. Existing settings/profile tests remain.

The affected-PC user confirmed the corrected executable starts successfully.
After automatic recovery, check your bindings before playing.

Highlights

• A HallJoy Discord community is now available for help, feedback, keyboard
  support requests, and release updates, with direct links inside the app.
• Brand / Model / conditional ANSI-ISO-JIS selection shared across settings,
  Input Overlay and the layout editor. Exact duplicate model layouts are combined;
  existing saved names still resolve and customized legacy layouts remain separate.
• 68 manufacturer model/physical-variant entries represented by 55 shared layouts,
  plus two technical presets. Layout additions do not imply new analog protocols.
• Manufacturer-derived Keychron, Lemokey, DrunkDeer, Aula, Redragon, Razer, NuPhy
  and Wooting layouts, including compound ISO/JIS Enter geometry.
• Pixel-precise layout editing, larger zoom range, edge resizing, rulers/guides,
  snapping, and Save / Discard / Cancel when leaving an unsaved editor draft.
• Independent Input Overlay layout, with Same as main layout as the default.
  Select this option under Brand; Model and Variant are hidden while it is selected.
  Compact server controls and an address field with copy feedback.
  Keys present only in the overlay layout (such as a numpad) receive analog input
  independently of the main preview layout.
• Block Bound Keys user-configurable toggle binding and optional Alt/Tab exclusion
  (enabled by default). A detected elevated-window input limitation recommends
  restarting HallJoy as administrator; the warning remains for the session.
• Clear pause/resume feedback, missing-keyboard diagnostics and Discord access.
  Pausing releases the keyboard for its web configurator. A softly pulsing card
  over the keyboard preview offers Resume; Global settings keeps its own control.
  Ordinary keyboard presses no longer operate main-window buttons or dropdowns;
  explicit text editing and user-assigned bindings still work.
• Configuration persistence fixes and quieter diagnostics: normal continuous
  logging is off by default; crash and missing-keyboard reports remain automatic.
• Mouse settings remains disabled; unfinished keyboard routes remain frozen.

Installation and support

ViGEmBus 1.22.0 is the system driver dependency. Its pinned installer is embedded
in HallJoy, verified before elevation, and offered if the driver is missing.
Do not install a separate UAP or Wooting Analog SDK for HallJoy: its private
runtime is embedded. Close connected keyboard web-driver tabs, which commonly
conflict with HallJoy. Desktop software such as Razer Synapse may coexist and
only needs closing when troubleshooting a suspected conflict.

Use HallJoy Discord and the
support report template. Do not send passwords or typed
text. Open HallJoy folder provides access to the diagnostic log.

Known limitations

• The 18 newly added Razer/NuPhy/Wooting physical variants require manual layout
  selection; no region is guessed from VID/PID. Prior exact first-run matches remain.
• Razer layouts added here cover Huntsman V3 Pro Mini ANSI/ISO/JIS. Layouts for
  Huntsman V2 Analog, Mini Analog, V3 Pro and V3 Pro TKL are deferred; their existing
  analog support is not disabled by this limitation.
• NuPhy Air75 HE's screenshot-macro key has no published UAP HID counterpart and
  is omitted (83 represented positions); Air60 HE is also included.
• Wooting layouts cover One, Two, Two HE, 60HE, 60HE+ (ANSI/ISO), and 80HE
  (ANSI/ISO/JIS). 60HE v2, split-space variants and UwU are not part of this batch.
• Keychron HE analog support discussed here uses custom UAP-compatible firmware;
  this is not a promise that every stock firmware exposes analog input.
• ROG Azoth 96 HE, Aula HERO84 HE, IROK ND75 and Attack Shark X68 HE remain frozen.
• HallJoy itself is not Authenticode-signed; Windows may show an unknown publisher.
  SHA-256 verifies file integrity, not publisher authentication.
