Release Notes - SharePointVideoDownloader v1.2

We're excited to announce the release of SharePointVideoDownloader version 1.2! This update brings significant Quality of Life (QoL) improvements to enhance your video and audio downloading experience.

✨ New Features & Enhancements

  • 🎧 Audio-Only Downloads:

    • You can now choose to download only the audio track from a SharePoint/Stream video.
    • The audio will be saved as an MP3 file.
    • This is perfect for lectures, meetings where only audio is needed, or creating podcasts.
    • Accessible via a prompt in interactive mode and through the -a or --audio flag in the CLI.
  • 💻 Command-Line Interface (CLI) Support:

    • Automate your downloads or integrate the tool into scripts with the new CLI.
    • Specify the video URL, output filename, and audio-only preference directly via command-line arguments.
    • Key CLI options:
      • -u, --url <URL>: (Required) The SharePoint/Stream video page URL.
      • -o, --output <FILENAME>: (Optional) Desired output filename.
      • -a, --audio: (Optional) Download audio only (MP3).
      • -h, --help: Display help message.
    • This allows for more flexible and powerful usage scenarios.
