Launcher Installation Instructions

If you have an old version of the launcher, please migrate your conversation data to the new one after installation and delete the old one. It is no longer supported and will not work with the latest version of Pantella due to it's python-3.10.11-embed folder missing files necessary for tkinter to run, and they cannot be installed with pip automatically. DO NOT persist the python.3.10.11-embed folder from your old launcher direectory, THIS WILL NOT WORK.

1. Download Pantella_Launcher-v0.0.7.7z and extract it where you want Pantella to be installed.
2. Download the Python environment necessary for your repo of choice. You can download only one or both, but at least one of them is necessary for the launcher to uh, do anything.
   • Pantella requires python-3.10.11-embed.7z.
   • Mantella requires python-3.11.6-embed.7z.
     Then extract the selected zip into the launcher directory where the Pantella_Launcher.exe is. You should end up with a directory of the same name as the zip you're installing in the launcher directory.

A zip is included for compatibility for the launcher, but the python embed archives are too large to be zipped and uploaded to github. If you need it in zip format, it's recommended you download the 7z archive and extract it on another system with 7z support and rearchive it to zip for transport to your target system.

• Overhaul of download/update system to use less bandwidth after the initial download by using git clone/pull instead of using HTTPRequest to download the main.zip from github directly for every update.
