Installation Instructions
Since this app is built as a standalone version and is not notarized through the Apple Developer Program, follow these
steps to install and run it:
Move to Applications
Locate the downloaded BlossomCalendar.app.
Drag and drop it into your Applications folder.
Handling the "Unidentified Developer" Warning
Because the app is not signed with an Apple ID, macOS will block it from opening the first time. To allow it:
Right-click (or Control-click) the app in your Applications folder and select Open.
A dialog will appear saying "macOS cannot verify the developer...". Click Open again.
If the "Open" button does not appear:
Go to the Apple Menu > System Settings (or System Preferences).
Navigate to Privacy & Security.
Scroll down to the Security section.
You will see a message stating "BlossomCalendar was blocked...". Click Open Anyway.
Enter your Mac password if prompted.
Why is this necessary?
Apple requires developers to pay a yearly fee to "notarize" apps. Since this is an open-source/custom-built project,
this manual step is required to tell macOS that you trust the software.
