The pauseai.se website is a (dated) fork of this one. Unfortunately, google prioritizes some of the (dated) pages there over the .info one.

I did not reproduce this. Don't know if that's because I chose bad test cases, or because Google knows I won't be able to read Swedish.

The site itself was registered 20 May 2024 and renewed 2025. I don't know who owns it.

Matilda noted that Pause AI UK legal entity info is also out of date, unsurprisingly.

Source is EmilSvenberg/pauseai-swedish — a CC-BY fork, deployed via a separate Netlify project (pauseai-se, not ours). 2,015 commits reflect active upstream sync; the live site carries current campaign banners and current messaging. So "dated" isn't the right description — it's a contemporary mirror, not a stale snapshot. Revising the problem accordingly.

Actual issues:

1. SEO competition — the original concern stands. Two near-identical deployments on different domains will dilute, and Google sometimes picks the wrong one (as flagged for pauseai microgrants).
2. Unauthorized legal identity — footer on pauseai.se still reads "Stichting PauseAI (kvk 92951031)". Emil's deployment is asserting the foundation's legal identity on content it doesn't govern. Almost certainly unintentional template carry-over, but substantive.
3. Drift risk — no coordination channel. Campaign-specific pages (e.g. /littlehelpers), time-sensitive messaging, or policy shifts could desync at any point even if parity is currently close.

On the canonical-URL remedy: not unilaterally ours to apply. <link rel="canonical"> has to be set in Emil's fork, which means his cooperation — same conversation as in-housing. Worth noting rather than treating as a fallback we control.

Proposed path (friendly-first):

1. Reach out to Emil directly. Thank-you-first; we want to bring it in-house.
2. Offer upstream migration: sv becomes a locale on pauseai.info via the l10n system already in place. Emil credited/invited as Swedish maintainer; translation work preserved.
3. Once sv is live on pauseai.info, Emil 301s pauseai.se → pauseai.info/sv. His domain, his redirect — no transfer needed.
4. If migration stalls: ask Emil to either (a) strike the Stichting line from the Swedish footer and add "Unofficial translation — not operated by Stichting PauseAI", or (b) obtain formal authorization from the foundation. Resolves (2) independently of (1).
5. Template hardening (worth doing regardless): make the legal footer block config-driven with a clear "DO NOT reuse this identifier in forks" comment. pauseai.de / pauseai.fr etc. are plausibly coming.

Happy to draft the outreach to Emil. Would also want Joep / Stichting sign-off that migration-then-redirect is preferred over takedown.
