Continent detection now forms consensus candidates separately at coarse and fine CPM scales, recovering prominent hub-and-spoke and core/periphery communities that the former global consensus could miss. A conservative affinity pass completes clearly attached boundary notes, while a topology-cohesion gate continues to reject sparse chains. Isolated unassigned notes no longer punch lakes into supported land; accepted competing continents and coherent free-node groups still preserve sea. Use Renew layout to apply the revised detection and membership. The lake-rendering correction applies immediately. Verified with 40 test files / 196 tests, production-renderer browser QA on a 636-note graph, CI on Node.js 20, 22, and 24, release artifact validation, and build provenance attestation.
