Apps can now show small tiles in the newsfeed. These use the same sandbox as the app themselves, but with only read access to the shared file. The first example of this is the calendar app showing the details of shared events directly in the newsfeed. We have also upgraded from Vue 2 to Vue 3. This is a huge upgrade. Previously we had to run the vue-template compiler using the graalJS runtime. Now we have a pure java port of the vue 3 template compiler. The end result is faster builds and more secure UI (There were some security findings in the last audit because of Vue 2 for example).

Features:

  • App tiles in the newsfeed
  • Address Book is now a built-in app with an icon in the left sidebar
  • Rate limit login attempts, with per device limits after a successful login
  • Support address-book built-in app subdomain
  • More guidance on phone calendar and contact sync

Optimisations:

  • Speed up loading your feed with many friends

Fixes:

  • Fix shared page which was relying on GWT naming convention
  • Don't show stack traces in CLI
  • Implement FUSE truncate call
  • Fix sync of names with a leading or trailing space
  • Fix crash on Android older than 13
  • Ask which app to open a file with when there are more than one on double-click
  • Fix set Cache Size on android and desktop
  • Fix loading huge files in the hex viewer
  • Fix random android crash when cache was full
  • Fix file sync progress counters
  • Support quic-v1 multiaddrs in -ipfs-swarm-addrs

Huge thanks to @arisoik for more UI improvements and fixes across the board! Especially the new custom apps gallery design.
