• Per-server logins: every server keeps its own saved login, switching servers no longer means typing it again.
• Hole punching: races work without port forwarding and on mobile internet, on servers that support it (e.g. kickRom Speedway). If no direct connection is possible, the race is relayed through the server.
• Linux/Wine: no more crash when the game can't open its ping socket.
• The server is read again at every login, so it can be changed while the game runs.

Install: extract scripts and dinput8.dll into the game folder (NFSU v1.4).

New: Launcher 1.0.0.1001 (Windows and Linux)

A small, open source launcher: lists the online servers, sets the one you click and starts the game. It installs and updates the plugin by itself. Put NFSUServerChanger.exe (Linux: NFSUServerChanger) into the game folder and start it.

Still using the old LAN tool (nfsuclient)? The launcher replaces it completely: no hosts file, no admin rights, nothing running in the background while you play, and EA Nation servers work. Untick "Use server" in nfsuclient and close it before switching.

If you already use kickStart, you don't need the launcher, only the plugin.
