Please update if you export to a WebDAV server such as Nextcloud. This release fixes a bug that
could cost you your KMyMoney file.

Fixed

  • An export could delete the .kmy. The app first writes the new file in full under a temporary
name and then puts it in place. A WebDAV server (Nextcloud included) does this by first deleting
the existing file and then renaming. If the rename failed, the old file was already gone — and the
app then also cleaned up the new one. Both were left only in the server's "Deleted files". The file
is now swapped instead of overwritten: old file aside, new file into place, and only then is the
old one deleted. If anything goes wrong, the old file is back where it was, and the next export
writes the bookings again. SMB shares were not affected.

If this happened to you, nothing is lost. Before every export the app saves a complete copy of
your file in the Backup folder next to it, as <file>.bak-<date>-<time> — and it does so before
it touches anything. Copy the newest backup back next to it and rename it to your file name (e.g.
michael.kmy). That is exactly the state before the failed export. The bookings from that export
are not marked as exported in the app, so the next export writes them.

  • "No payee" chosen on the watch still arrived on the phone with the nearest payee. The booking
    now stays without a payee.
