  • See what your agents are doing. Working sessions now show small activity badges like shell, editing, search, and background work. Only categories are shown, never prompts, paths, or arguments. Toggle it in Settings → Behavior.

  • Background tasks keep the hold. If monitors or shell jobs keep running after a turn ends, Belay keeps your Mac awake for up to 30 minutes and shows why in the panel.

  • Hooks clean up automatically. Belay removes its entries from agent settings when it quits and restores them on launch, so closed Belay never leaves agents pointing at a dead connection.

  • Return summaries work better. Closing the lid no longer hides the while-you-were-away summary, and Belay now mentions if your Mac ran hot.

  • Quieter diagnostics. Dark wakes no longer look like stalls, rapid session handoffs no longer flood the log, and repeated helper errors are rate-limited.
