v1.0.1

@PeterKnightDigital PeterKnightDigital released this 16 Jul 09:43

[1.0.1] - 2026-07-14

First patch release for ChillSSL V1.

Fixed

  • Post-signup auto-login no longer keeps a previously logged-in Clerk session — new customers land on the correct account after email verification and password setup.
  • Expiry threshold eligibility counts ("All 4 certificates eligible") now update immediately after adding or editing a custom threshold — no page reload required. Previously the TanStack Query cache was never invalidated after a save, so new custom threshold rows always showed "None of your certificates will qualify" until refresh.
  • Scan result ingestion endpoint now accepts IPv6 addresses (bracketed or bare literals) as valid hostnames. Previously the colons in IPv6 triggered an "Invalid hostname format" rejection, silently dropping all IPv6 scan results.
  • Notification thresholds that share the same day value (e.g. 1 day before and after) no longer cause list rendering glitches.
  • App footer shows the product version for all users; ChillSSL.com link points to www.
  • App footer branding clarified to Chill SSL - vX.Y.Z (was bare vX.Y.Z).
  • Dashboard score card hover tooltips work again after the React 19 upgrade (Tippy binds once the card element has mounted; same fix for IPv6 badge and pricing feature info icons).
  • Dark mode filter dropdowns (Host Type, Status, Issuer, Collections, Tags): selected option highlight was nearly invisible against the menu background; added --dropdown-selected-bg and --dropdown-selected-text theme variables across shared filter components.

v1.0.0

@PeterKnightDigital PeterKnightDigital released this 16 Jul 09:43

Formal Chill SSL V1 marketing release: SSL monitor dashboard at app.chillssl.com, product site at www.chillssl.com, account signup with email verification, billing, SSL reminders, and SSL notifications.

Added

  • Dedicated app experience at app.chillssl.com with smart home redirect (signed-in users go to the SSL monitor dashboard; signed-out users go to sign-in). Marketing, SSL Guides, SSL Glossary, and blog stay on www.
  • SSL reminder thresholds that understand short-lived certificates, including 6-day lifespans.
  • Core plan and Glacier (Launch Edition) pricing for this SSL tool and SSL monitoring.

Improved

  • Faster mobile checkout: completes in the same browser window (no popup dance).
  • Clearer plan purchase flow when you add multiple SSL Monitor packs or checkout add-ons, so the plan you paid for is what you get.
  • Quicker feedback after a manual certificate check: status updates in the SSL monitor without a full page refresh.
  • One-click filtering from the “Failing” status card straight into the matching certificates you monitor.
  • Useful in-app links to the SSL Glossary (open on www in a new tab).
  • Polished light and dark themes for the sidebar SSL usage counter and plan card colours.
  • Clearer SSL reminder and SSL notification emails with updated branding, personalized greetings, and the actual expiration date.
  • Clearer Core plan copy: Chill SSL is an SSL tool for certificate monitoring (not “free certificates”).
  • Calmer sign-in screen with a logo-only header so you can focus on getting in.

Fixed

  • More reliable SSL monitor layout so main dashboard content stays visible while you work.
  • Account owners can open certificate details for their own monitored sites without friction.
  • Stronger public support contact form against abusive input.

v0.9.0 - Public launch era (2025)

@PeterKnightDigital PeterKnightDigital released this 16 Jul 11:49

Chill SSL launched publicly around July 2025. Before formal V1 versioning (1.0.0), the product shipped a large stream of improvements, far more than we list here. This section is a thematic summary of that launch era, not an exhaustive bug list.

Improved

  • SSL monitor UX: dashboard clarity, status at a glance, filtering, and day-to-day ways to monitor SSL certificates that feel faster and less noisy.
  • SSL reminders: more useful SSL expiry reminder workflows and preferences so alerts arrive when they help, not when they overwhelm.
  • SSL notifications: clearer status-change and digest-style messaging as the notification system matured.
  • Checkout and billing: smoother path from pricing to a working subscription and SSL monitor access.
  • Short-lived certificate readiness: product direction toward 6-day and automated renewals, not only year-long certs.
  • Light and dark experience: ongoing UI polish so this SSL tool is comfortable in either theme.
  • Reliability and trust: thousands of under-the-hood fixes and refinements across SSL monitoring, accounts, and alerts that made the launch-era product progressively more dependable.

Tip for readers: from 1.0.0 onward we publish numbered releases with concrete, customer-facing notes. Pre-1.0.0 work is summarised here so the story of Chill SSL does not look like it started in 2026.
