CapAnything is a Chrome Extension that helps you visually select and capture pixel-perfect bounding-box screenshots of one or multiple DOM elements on any website. With built-in AI caption generation, you can instantly turn your captures into ready-to-publish posts for 7 social platforms in 18 languages.

CapAnything is currently available for manual installation:
- Download: Go to the Releases page and download the latest
.zipfile, or clone this repository. - Open Extensions: In Chrome, navigate to
chrome://extensions. - Enable Developer Mode: Turn on the "Developer mode" toggle in the top right corner.
- Install: Drag and drop the downloaded
.zipfile into thechrome://extensionswindow.
- Click the CapAnything extension icon in your toolbar to activate the selection mode.
- Hover over the elements on the page you want to capture.
- Click to select a single element, or hold the modifier key to select multiple.
- Click "Capture" to take the screenshot and open the built-in editor.
- Apply backgrounds, frames, or shadows.
- (Optional) Generate AI captions for your social media platforms.
- Save, copy to clipboard, or download the image!
