What's new

  • Standalone Windows executable (FileReader.exe) — no Java installation required, bundled runtime included.
  • Redesigned UI: reworked sidebar (path bar, donut chart, stats), cleaned-up table columns, scanning spinner overlay, app icon/logo.
  • New: "Scan This Folder" from the right-click menu and detail panel.

How to run

  1. Download FileReader-2.0.0-win64.zip below.
  2. Unzip it anywhere.
  3. Double-click FileReader.exe.

Known limitations

  • Windows only for this release. Linux/macOS builds are not yet available.
  • Ships as a portable app-image (no installer/.msi).

📦 FileReader 1.0.0 – Pre-release
This is the first packaged version of FileReader, a simple desktop application to scan and visualize disk space usage.

Download the ZIP file.

Extract it anywhere.

Double-click launch.bat.

The app opens with your custom Java runtime, no extra installation needed!
