Release list
GLEECH 0.1.1 Beta — Windows
Windows x64 beta update.
Adds direct PNG/JPEG/WebP MCP image imports up to 6 MiB, native user-selected folder approval, session grant revocation, and matching 0.1.1 version metadata. Image imports preserve the effect stack and support Undo/Redo. See MCP setup.
Download GLEECH-0.1.1-x64-setup.exe. The installer includes the runtime; Node.js and pnpm are not needed. This beta installer is unsigned.
Windows full hosted coverage and all 22 physical-GPU workflows passed, alongside isolated Windows installation/uninstallation, both native Mac architectures, Linux AppImage MCP/remount testing, and CodeQL. SOURCE-PROVENANCE.json records exact build/test commits and the Linux-CI-only source difference. Matching application/native sources, original notice notes, build records and SHA-256 checksums are attached. Original dependency terms remain separate from GLEECH’s MIT license.
GLEECH 0.1.1 — Experimental macOS Alpha
Experimental native macOS alpha for community testing.
Adds direct PNG/JPEG/WebP MCP image imports up to 6 MiB, native user-selected folder approval, session grant revocation, and matching 0.1.1 version metadata. Image imports preserve the effect stack and support Undo/Redo. See MCP setup.
Choose mac-arm64.zip for Apple Silicon or mac-x64.zip for Intel. Extract and copy GLEECH.app to ~/Applications before configuring MCP. Unsigned and not notarized; macOS may block opening. Native automated CPU checks passed on both architectures; wider physical UI/GPU qualification remains community-led.

GLEECH 0.1.1 — Experimental Linux / Omarchy Alpha
Experimental Linux x86_64 / Omarchy alpha for Intel and AMD PCs.
Adds direct PNG/JPEG/WebP MCP image imports up to 6 MiB, native user-selected folder approval, session grant revocation, and matching 0.1.1 version metadata. Image imports preserve the effect stack and support Undo/Redo. See MCP setup.
Download the AppImage, make it executable and launch it. Omarchy normally needs fuse2. Local MCP starts Off at each launch, and saved client configurations survive AppImage remounts.
Optional XWayland/Vulkan flags: --ozone-platform=x11 --use-angle=vulkan --enable-features=Vulkan,VulkanFromANGLE,DefaultANGLEVulkan. GPU availability depends on hardware and drivers; CPU fallback is available. Native feedback sign-in requires a supported desktop keyring. With GNOME Secret Service running on Hyprland, --password-store=gnome-libsecret may be needed. Hosted validation used Ubuntu 22.04 x64 with CPU rendering. Broader native UI/GPU coverage and other distributions remain experimental.

GLEECH 0.1.0 Beta
GLEECH 0.1.0 Beta
It's not broken. It's just a GLEECH.
GLEECH is a Windows image editor for procedural glitches, distortion and stylization. This beta includes 109 built-in effects, including 46 original shaders, 29 starter presets, 40 depth maps and 40 vector fields.
Build editable effect stacks, paint per-effect masks, explore seeded variations, save snapshots and bake new stages. Projects and presets preserve their embedded resources. Export PNG, JPEG, WebP or TIFF, or connect a compatible local agent through stdio MCP.
Windows x64 is the supported platform. This beta edits still images; Linux/macOS ports, animation and global drawing tools are future work. Imported shader support is a bounded subset. The installer is unsigned and there is no automatic updater. Preview and rendering speed remain beta limitations and depend on stack complexity, image resolution and hardware.
Downloads:
Verify downloads against SHA256SUMS.txt. GLEECH source uses MIT; bundled dependencies, models and native libraries retain their own terms and notices.
See the User Guide, Known Issues, Effects and Presets, roadmap and credits. Join the Discord community, or report bugs through GitHub or GLEECH's native feedback form.
GLEECH 0.1.0 — Experimental macOS Alpha
Experimental GLEECH 0.1.0 macOS alpha for community testing. Separate native Apple Silicon (arm64) and Intel (x64) builds. Windows beta downloads remain on the existing v0.1.0 release.
Download and run
Choose GLEECH-0.1.0-mac-arm64.zip for Apple Silicon or GLEECH-0.1.0-mac-x64.zip for Intel. Extract the ZIP and copy GLEECH.app to ~/Applications before configuring MCP. These packages are unsigned and not notarized; macOS may block opening them.
Verification and testing
Both native macOS jobs passed code checks, packaged startup, Sharp image processing, CPU subject detection, image rendering/export, all 62 MCP tools and all eight client configurations. Windows regression CI and CodeQL also passed. Source: 129c2c6; build records name the tested commit with the identical source tree.
Further physical Mac UI/GPU qualification is being left to community testers. Please report your processor, macOS version, GPU, steps to reproduce and effect stack where relevant. Performance, native UI, signing/notarization and broader hardware coverage remain experimental.
Source, notices and checksums
The matching application source, complete retained native source bundle, native source notes, per-architecture build records and SHA-256 checksums are attached on this page. Original third-party terms remain separate from GLEECH's MIT license. Read MACOS-NATIVE-SOURCES.txt for source/rebuild scope and documented upstream notice omissions.
GLEECH 0.1.0 — Experimental Linux / Omarchy Alpha
Experimental GLEECH 0.1.0 Linux x64 / Omarchy alpha for community testing. This AppImage is a separate platform prerelease; Windows beta and macOS alpha downloads remain on their existing release pages.
Run
Download GLEECH-0.1.0-linux-x86_64.AppImage, make it executable and launch it. Omarchy needs the fuse2 runtime for normal AppImage mounting. Keep the app open when using local MCP; MCP starts Off at every launch. Its copied client configuration survives subsequent AppImage remounts.
Default rendering can use CPU fallback. For opt-in XWayland/Vulkan WebGPU, launch with --ozone-platform=x11 --use-angle=vulkan --enable-features=Vulkan,VulkanFromANGLE,DefaultANGLEVulkan
No sandbox override or unsafe-WebGPU flag is part of the normal launch instructions. GPU availability depends on the adapter and driver. GitHub sign-in for native feedback needs a supported desktop keyring; insecure basic_text credential storage is rejected. Core editing and MCP do not need GitHub sign-in. On Hyprland with GNOME Secret Service running, you may need --password-store=gnome-libsecret so Electron selects your keyring.
Verification and feedback
Native Ubuntu 22.04 x64 packaging, original notices, Sharp processing, CPU subject inference, image/export, actual AppImage startup, all 62 MCP tools, all eight client configurations and MCP restart/remount checks passed. Windows required CI, both Mac regression builds and CodeQL passed before merge. Contributor physical Omarchy/Hyprland AMD GCN-4 testing is documented separately in PR #13. Other distributions, ARM64, broader native UI and long-duration GPU stability remain unverified.
Please include the Omarchy/Linux version, desktop session, GPU/driver, launch flags, CPU versus GPU behavior and reproduction steps in reports.
Source and checksums
Matching application source, complete retained native source bundle, Linux native notes, build record and SHA-256 checksums are attached here. Source: 6b20188; the build record's tested commit has the identical source tree. Original native dependency terms remain separate from GLEECH's MIT license.
