Plexi Guide

Welcome to the Plexi guide.

Plexi is a smart study hub for Computer Science college students. It keeps study materials in one place and gives you an AI assistant that answers Grounded to those materials.

Use this guide if you want to:

  • Find notes, PPTs, PDFs, syllabuses, assignments, Question Bank or question papers.
  • Ask an AI questions about a selected semester and subject.
  • Contribute by adding missing study materials for other students.
  • Understand what Plexi does with your API key and uploaded files.

What Plexi Is

Plexi has two student-facing parts:

Area What it is for
Materials Browse and preview study files by semester, subject, and material type.
Chat Ask questions and get answers based on the selected subject's materials.

Behind the scenes, Plexi uses a separate material repository called plexi-materials. That repository stores the material list and the AI search index.

Getting Started

Important Notes

  • Plexi does not include its own paid AI account. For Chat, you bring your own API key from a supported provider.
  • Your API key is stored in your browser if you choose Remember on this device.
  • Study materials are added through GitHub Issues in plexi-materials. Do not directly commit material files.
  • The AI is helpful, but you should still verify important answers with the original files.
