Description
Canada Pension Plan Disability (CPP-D) benefits are included in SPSD/M but missing from PolicyEngine Canada.
Required Implementation
CPP Disability provides monthly payments to:
- People who have contributed to CPP and have a severe and prolonged disability
- Children of disabled contributors
Benefit Components
- Basic flat-rate amount
- Amount based on CPP contributions
- Children's benefit (flat rate per child)
Eligibility Requirements
- Severe and prolonged disability preventing work
- Under age 65
- Contributed to CPP in 4 of last 6 years (or 3 of last 6 with 25+ years of contributions)
2024 Amounts
- Maximum monthly benefit: ,606.78
- Average monthly benefit: ,127.35
- Children's benefit: .12 per child

- Stops at age 65 (converts to retirement pension)
