This project was started in the true spirit of the original Popcorn Time—to provide an easy-to-use, free streaming source for everyone. The original vision has been hijacked by commercial interests (like Netflix) and fragmented by paid walled gardens.

StreamEngine is a return to form: decentralized, open-source, and free forever.

Download & Install

Option 1: Direct Download (Easiest)

Get the latest version directly:

• 🍎 Download for Mac (.dmg)
  • Note: If macOS says "App is damaged", run xattr -cr /Applications/PopcornTime-StreamEngine.app in Terminal.
• 🪟 Download for Windows (.exe)
  • Note: If Windows SmartScreen prevents startup, click "More info" → "Run anyway".

Option 2: Build from Source (Secure)

We believe in security through transparency. To ensure you have the clean, unadulterated version of StreamEngine, you can build it from source in minutes.
