Release 0.1.4

@yannbouteiller yannbouteiller released this 26 Aug 22:20

This release brings a number of general improvements to the software. In particular, the simple UI now maintains a persistent state across reboots, and the user can now configure a randomized delay after which a stimulation is sent in order to conduct control experiments.

Release 0.1.3

@yannbouteiller yannbouteiller released this 31 Mar 00:56

Version 0.1.3:

  • substantially optimizes all software pipelines, fixing various issues that were reported due to careless usage of the previously very inefficient SO pipeline at the default frequency of 250Hz. Now the SO pipeline is even more efficient than the Spindles pipeline, and the 250 Hz frequency works fine with all pipelines and UIs.
  • introduces an "Acquisition only" pipeline solely designed for signal acquisition.

Note that the Simple UI is still less computationally efficient than the Jupyter UI. If you experience issues with the Simple UI at high sampling frequencies, try with the Jupyter UI with the display option disabled. A future release should fix this for the Simple UI by rendering the signal display window remotely on the web client rather than locally on the Coral.

Config files:
config_files_0.0.1-beta.txt

To get your Portiloop up to date with this release, make sure that your repository is on the same commit as the release and that all configuration files are the same as the config_files.txt shown above. The only important change in configuration from previous versions is the new asound.conf file which you can find at portiloop-software/portiloop/setup_files/asound.conf in this repository and you need to copy to the /etc/ directory on your device.

Note: test portiloop has some hardware issues on channel 2.
