📊 Anonymous Usage Analytics
Bow Git Vault now includes optional anonymous usage analytics to help understand which features are being used and guide future development.
Analytics can record general events such as:
Application launches and version
Screens and sections opened
Repository cloning and adding
Pull and push usage
Commit actions
Stage and unstage actions
Branch feature usage
Repository update checks
Bow Git Vault application update checks and downloads
Bow Git Vault does not intentionally send repository names, local file paths, commit messages, GitHub usernames, remote repository URLs, filenames, file contents, passwords, or Git authentication tokens as analytics data.
Anonymous usage analytics can be disabled from Bow Git Vault Settings.
🔄 Automatic Updates
Bow Git Vault continues to support automatic application updates through GitHub Releases.
Installed copies can:
Check for newer Bow Git Vault versions
Detect when an update is available
Download the update
Restart and install the newer version
The automatic-update system was successfully tested during the v0.2.x releases.
