Magnetic Connections — Windows playtest 05 Oct 2026

Choose a tag to compare

Magnetic Tiles: Tab selects pieces, wheel selects horizontal/vertical attachment poses or floor yaw, Shift-wheel selects the target edge, and Ctrl-wheel/R includes supported slopes. New attachments default upright. Matching adjacent wall corners snap automatically; each edge accepts up to three neighbours and closed cuboid lids can carry further construction. Invalid below-floor previews stay visible above the floor. Closed magnetic loops resume with unstretched anchors.

Validation: 108 EditMode tests and 40 affected PlayMode tests and 5 final joint regressions passed. Standalone Windows dynamic cube, lid extension, settling and continuation checks passed; real renderer captures reviewed. All 184 packaged player files passed SHA-256 and CRC verification. Known interactive Windows shutdown crash remains open. macOS download unchanged.

Long Triangle Anchors — Windows playtest 05 Oct 2026

Choose a tag to compare

Each long triangle leg now accepts two regular 15 cm tiles alongside one another, with three shifted embedded magnets. Aim at either half or use Shift-wheel to select its attachment point; Q selects the own edge/attachment position. Existing saved anchors and the physical edge connection limit are preserved.

Validation: 109 EditMode and 9 affected PlayMode cases passed. Native dynamic pair settles and retains all three physical links after continuation; closed cube extension retains all fourteen. Real renderer captures reviewed. All 184 packaged player files verified. Known interactive Windows shutdown crash remains open; macOS download unchanged.

Two-lane Slot Racing and Marble construction helpers

Two-lane Slot Racing and Marble construction helpers.

  • Two physical cars, two lanes and independent LMB/LT or RMB/RT controllers. T picks up or puts down both controllers; F and click return an off-track car to its own lane.
  • Corrected descending-ramp preview, automatic elevated road stands, simpler curve compounds, cached driving queries and reusable placement/wheel previews. Reduced unwanted straight-line yaw and whole-world menu teardown work.
  • Marble open lower sockets project floor markers. C grips and moves a physical connected build; C + wheel lifts/lowers. Existing chutes accept upright pipes and feet underneath.
  • Windows release build, targeted physics/control regressions and standalone render/save checks. macOS remains the previous October 1 preview.
  • Known interactive Windows exit crash remains unconfirmed as fixed. Test physical control feel and report remaining issues.

Slot Racing — Windows playtest 04 Oct 2026

Slot Racing Windows playtest

Build a physical slot circuit, take the hand controller and learn to dose the throttle. The front guide pin holds the car in the slot with finite forces while the rear can drift. Excessive speed releases the car into normal physical collisions.

  • Seven road pieces: Power & Start, 15/30 cm straights, left/right 45-degree curves and bridge rise/fall.
  • Red/white curve kerbs, recessed centre slots, visible connector gaps and physical bridge stands.
  • In an empty Slot Racing world, G creates a starter oval. T takes the controller; Space gives gas and the wheel changes power. Gamepad RT gives proportional throttle.
  • Aim at a car and press F to lift it; aim at a powered road and click to return it. T then takes the controller again.
  • Slot Racing keeps its own saved circuit and car, alongside the five existing building worlds. Saving or pausing cuts the motor.
  • Save restoration regression caused by Unity's serialization of an absent car was corrected.

Extract the complete Windows ZIP and launch Blocker.exe. Keep Blocker_Data and the DLLs beside it. The existing macOS preview is unchanged.

Single car, single lane. Mixed toy worlds, lane switching, Darda and loopings remain future work. The previously reported intermittent manual client-close crash has not been established as fixed.

Blocker Playtest — Railway Safety — 2026-10-04

Choose a tag to compare

Railway connections now tolerate slight vertical slopes within five degrees, with an explicit flexibility-limit warning. C dragging is damped and shows following transparent support pillars; blocked pillars turn red. Bridges have flat landings, turnouts have real female cutouts and smooth channels, and pegs have rounded bevelled necks. Overstrained connections release rather than forcing a tangled welded loop.

Validation: 108 EditMode tests, 42 affected PlayMode tests and 13 final regressions passed. Native player checks and actual renderer captures passed; all 184 packaged player files verified. Existing tangled constructions are not automatically repaired. Known interactive Windows shutdown crash remains open. macOS download unchanged.

Blocker · Physical Marble Run

Windows x64 · 04 October 2026 · source f5e3fb0.

  • New MARBLE RUN construction world with nine translucent modules: foot, standard/short tube, entry funnel, straight/curved chute, bowl, passive paddle wheel and catch cup.
  • Real 16 mm sphere colliders roll through hollow 24 mm bores and open channels under gravity. Parts remain independent dynamic bodies, connected by finite-strength joints; unsupported constructions can fall. The paddle wheel has no motor.
  • Wheel / Tab and the nine-sector 3D menu choose pieces. Shift-wheel changes the joining socket, R turns by 45 degrees, F removes a piece, T drops a marble and Shift+T clears them. Separate save/Continue restores parts, connections and live balls. Practical budgets: 128 pieces and 32 balls.
  • 15 cm grid matches magnetic squares. Magnetic tiles with pipe adapters, openings and tunnels are planned; a combined world is not yet implemented. Dimensions are chosen game dimensions, not exact copies of the photographed set.

Qualification: the full 108 EditMode and 94 PlayMode suites passed before the final inlet geometry correction. All nine Marble Run acceptance tests passed after that correction, including a settled two-column course, real curve/bowl traversal and contact-driven paddle rotation. Final Windows build and standalone workshop run passed with automated exit 0. The running player carried a sphere through the chute/bowl into its outlet, with all nine pieces dynamic and eight joints intact. Actual world and catalogue renders were inspected; the catalogue image is a frozen material study. Manual input feel remains a user playtest.

Known issue: the earlier interactive Windows closing crash has not been established as fixed; automated exit 0 does not prove a fix.

Blocker · Two additional magnetic pieces

Windows x64 · 04 October 2026 · source e66c31b.

  • Half-square rectangle: 15 × 7.5 cm, two magnets on each long edge and one on each short edge.
  • Large base plate: 30 × 30 cm, twice the square side length and four times its area, with four magnets per edge.
  • Both retain 15 mm rim thickness, clear acrylic materials, interior cross/diamond reinforcement, coloured floor transmission and dynamic physics. Mass follows area; floor placement and connections use the existing system.
  • Wheel / Tab cycling and the six-sector radial menu include both parts with actual 3D previews. Existing save IDs are preserved and Continue restores new shapes and joints.

Qualification: 106 EditMode and 86 PlayMode tests passed, including new dimensions, magnet pitch, mass, floor connections, six-sector selection and save/Continue. Windows build and standalone workshop run passed; the actual renderer capture of both new parts was inspected; six-sector selection was verified through input tests. Manual input feel awaits player feedback.

Known issue: the earlier interactive Windows closing crash has not been established as fixed; automated exit 0 does not prove a fix.

Blocker · Workshop controls and physical supports

Windows x64 · 04 October 2026 · source 2f903f6.

  • Wheel selects railway or magnetic pieces directly; the divided 3D wheel and Tab remain available.
  • Magnetic Q selects the own edge, Shift-wheel selects the target edge or rotates a free floor tile, and R cycles supported hinge poses including triangle braces. Ctrl-Q lowers stance in Magnets.
  • F selects a magnetic tile while the original body and joints remain live. Click commits the new pose to the same tile. Escape, save, focus loss, F1 and a different piece selection cancel without deleting it. Shift-F explicitly removes.
  • Railway Shift-wheel selects an entry, Ctrl-wheel reverses the physical grooved faces, C holds a force-driven drag, Shift-F sets a switch and T runs/pauses the train. Reversed geometry and shared connector pivots survive saves.
  • New loop closures must align without pulling mismatched ends together. A same-end connector requires the actual 2 cm adapter gap. Ramps and raised track receive separate wooden support blocks; rails remain dynamic with their existing angular play.

Qualification: 103 EditMode and 83 PlayMode tests passed, followed by 37 targeted tests after the final yaw/cache/HUD refinements. Windows build and standalone workshop run passed, including a dynamic supported bridge, connected-route dragging, adapters, magnetic overload and materials. Automated player exit was 0. Manual control feel awaits player feedback; complex loaded constructions remain a playtest subject.

Known issue: the earlier interactive Windows closing crash has not been established as fixed. Automated exit 0 is not proof of a fix.

Blocker · Magnetic polish

Windows x64 · 04 October 2026 · source 2459a71.

  • Magnetic rims and physical collision shells are now 15 mm thick at a 15 cm square edge. Top-face connection pivots support upright and gently tilted tiles. Flat floor tiles extend along all four edges.
  • Damped, finite magnetic holding torque supports a square wall and a triangle after a small disturbance. Heavy unsupported arms still fold/fall; joints can break. Holding state survives Continue. This approximates magnets rather than simulating individual poles.
  • Acrylic PBR preserves glossy highlights on transparent faces. A subtle scratch normal was created with Imagegen. Sunlight rim glow and coloured floor transmission are restrained.
  • The wheel is now a complete pie with fixed dividers and actual cached 3D part previews. No rotated scaled IMGUI matrices. Existing LT/right-stick/release and V/middle-mouse controls remain; the full action inventory is included in CONTROL-ACTIONS.md.

Validation: 103 EditMode and 72 PlayMode cases passed. See VALIDATION.json for standalone and native wheel evidence. Initial checks caught an invalid texture import shape and a fine-fold floor intersection; both were fixed before qualification.

Known issue: the previously reported interactive Windows closing crash remains unresolved. A clean automated player exit does not establish that it is fixed.

Blocker · Acrylic visual reference

Windows x64 · 04 October 2026 · source bd39159.

The user-supplied render guides the acrylic material appearance. All tile forms, dimensions, colliders, snapping and physical parameters are preserved.

  • Clearer central faces and finer internal reinforcement, with saturated blue, red, amber, green and turquoise colours.
  • Angle-dependent absorption gives moulded frames deeper coloured sides. This is an optical-depth approximation, not ray-traced refraction.
  • Higher dielectric polish and softened frame normals catch narrow glancing highlights. Normal shading does not change geometry. The existing Imagegen scratch normal is reused at lower strength; sunlight rim emission remains restrained.
  • Existing muted coloured floor transmission and the complete 3D part wheel remain.

Qualification: 6 targeted material/wheel PlayMode regressions passed, Windows build passed, standalone workshop shader/physics run passed with exit 0, near material capture inspected. Previous full 103 EditMode / 72 PlayMode qualification remains recorded; it was not repeated for this material-only pass. The arranged material capture is not proof of tower stability.

Known issue: the previously reported interactive Windows closing crash remains unresolved. Automated exit 0 does not establish a fix.
