Would it be possible to keep the hook? If we didn't manage to make it work, maybe some other people would. 🤷
It could be used for purposes unknown to us, there is always something in the wild. :-)

I'm blocking this because I have 9.1.md in progress and I prefer to merge it first, since it has a lot of info.
