New in this version

• A sound with your score. After each song, a cheer plays with your score: the higher the score, the bigger the cheer. Tap the score to stop it. You can turn it off in Settings → Singing.
• Lyrics with real colour, on TV too. With the Classic colour, the words you've sung now turn light blue, not just their outline, so you can follow them even from across the room.
• You choose the lyric size. Small/Medium/Large/XL are gone: press − and + from 50% up to 250%, in Settings → Lyrics or in Controls while you sing, on a phone or with the TV remote. The size you had stays.
• Interlude + Skip. During a long intro or instrumental break, the screen shows ♪ INTERLUDE ♪ and the seconds left. Tap ⏭ SKIP (on a TV, press OK) to jump to just before the next line. On a TV, ▼ opens the menu during the break.
• Mini window (PIP). On a phone, press Home while singing: the song and lyrics keep going in a small window, with Pause and Next. You can turn it off in Settings.
• Search with the phone sideways. Find → ABC now shows the songs beside the keyboard while you type.
• Phone to phone. One phone shows the lyrics, the other is the remote. Tap Use this phone as the stage on the song list, then on the other phone open Kara-okay → Remote, or scan the code with the camera. Same Wi-Fi or the phone's hotspot. The remote can change the lyric size and skip the interlude too.
• Fixed: songs reserved quickly from a remote could come out of order.

New in this version

• New sounds: Platinum Major and Dreamsam. Platinum Major is the new sound every song plays with; it downloads by itself after the songs. Dreamsam (1.3 GB) is yours with one tap in Sound. Big as they are, each song loads only the instruments it plays, so they work on everyday phones too.
• A fresh song library: more than 47,000 songs, over 34,000 of them new. Every song was checked one by one: songs with words out of time or that sounded bad were taken out, and the best version of each song stays. With them come the latest OPM and international hits. They download inside the app on Wi-Fi with a New tag, and the old copies are replaced by themselves. Your own songs are never touched.
• Make an MP3 into karaoke. Settings → Your songs and sounds → Make an MP3 into karaoke: pick an MP3 from your phone, the singer's voice is taken out, and the lyrics are found online, timed to the song. Works best on studio recordings. Voice: on / cut is in Controls while it plays.
• A song shows from the first digit. Type 1, 4, 5… and a song already shows, like SongHub. The rest of its number shows dim, and Reserve takes the song you see.
• Fixed: the background video froze after the first song. It moves on every song now.
• Fixed: Reserve and 0 were missing on the keypad when the phone is sideways (or on a small screen). The keys now fit every screen.
• Your songs have their own screen. With thousands of songs added, Settings no longer goes on forever: find, rename or remove them under See, rename or remove your songs.
• See how many songs you have, right on the song list, and how many are new on the New chip.
• Support Kara-okay, if you like. The ♥ Support Kara-okay button on the song list has a GCash code. Any amount is appreciated, and Kara-okay stays free either way. Businesses can sponsor or advertise too: the details are there.

Libre pa rin. Nasa PC na ang Kara-okay! Lahat ng nasa phone/TV app 1.5 ay nandito, pati ang
mga hindi kaya ng phone:

• Mixer ng bawat instrument: may sariling slider, mute at solo ang bawat instrument ng kanta.
  Masyadong malakas ang drums? Ang drums lang ang hinaan mo.
• Dalawang mic na may echo at reverb, at may sariling volume ang bawat isa. Kapag may sumirit
  (feedback), kusang hihinaan ng Kara-okay ang mic.
• DJ mode (F3): dalawang deck at crossfader. Puwedeng baguhin ang bilis at key habang
  tumutugtog.
• Walang patlang sa pagitan ng kanta: tuloy-tuloy ang mga reserved na kanta, may fade o walang

Paano i-install

1. I-click ang Kara-okay-PC-Setup-1.0.0.exe sa ibaba (sa Assets). Hintaying matapos ang

2. Buksan ito. Kapag lumabas ang "Windows protected your PC", i-click ang More info →
   Run anyway. (Bago pa lang ang app kaya hindi pa ito kilala ng Windows. Hindi ito virus.)
3. Piliin ang Install for all users, tapos Yes kapag nagtanong ang Windows.
4. Next hanggang Install, tapos Finish. Bubukas ang Kara-okay at ida-download nito ang
   mga kanta at tunog, isang beses lang (mga 1 GB). Pagkatapos noon, puwede ka nang kumanta kahit
   walang internet.

Kailangan: Windows 10 o Windows 11 (64-bit) at mga 1.5 GB na libreng space.

Still free. Kara-okay is on PC: everything in the phone/TV app 1.5, plus what a phone can't do.

• A mixer for every instrument: each instrument in the song has its own slider, mute and solo.
• Two mics with echo and reverb and their own levels. If they howl, Kara-okay turns them down.
• DJ mode (F3): two decks and a crossfader; change the speed and the key while it plays.
• No gap between songs: the reserved songs play on, crossfaded or with no gap.
• Headphones for the DJ: hear the next song in your headphones before the room does.
• Lyrics on the TV, controls on the laptop: plug a TV into the laptop's HDMI.
• DJ controllers (Hercules, Numark, any MIDI one): plug in, press Learn, move a knob.
• Record your singing to MP3 (Ctrl + R), saved in Documents → Kara-okay → Recordings.
• Guests' phones as the remote: they scan the QR code to reserve and skip.

More than 47,000 songs by number. Add your own MIDI, KAR, MP3, video songs and .sf2 sounds by
dragging them onto the window.

Install: click Kara-okay-PC-Setup-1.0.0.exe below and open it. If Windows says "Windows
protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway (the app is new, so Windows does not
know it yet). Pick Install for all users, click Yes, then Next until Install. The
first time it opens it downloads the songs and sounds (about 1 GB); after that it works offline.

New in this version

• Your own Kara-okay folder. Turn it on in Settings → Your songs and sounds, then copy songs, karaoke videos and sounds into the Kara-okay folder with any file manager or a computer, the way you're used to. Kara-okay reads them where they are, so even tens of thousands of songs take no extra space and there is no limit on how many. Folders inside get their own chips. A Kara-okay folder on a USB drive works too, and you can add another folder you already have. Android asks for access to your files only when you turn the folder on; Kara-okay never deletes your files or sends them anywhere.
• Karaoke videos. Your own MP4, MKV or WebM karaoke videos (with the words in the picture) play as songs, shown whole, with Key and Tempo.
• Your soundfont stays. Big sounds play the same song after song, and if a sound ever closes the app, it stays chosen and waits for you to try it again. Settings → App → Sound report shows what happened.
• Melody off stays off until you turn it back on.
• Skip now and Sing now. ⏭ skips to the next reserved song; ▶ beside Reserve sings a song right away. Both ask for a second tap.
• Stop asks first when songs are reserved, so one tap no longer clears your list. 🔍 opens the search beside the lyrics.
• More results while searching: the letter keys step aside when you scroll the results.
• Score on TV: plug in a USB microphone, or use the Kara-okay app on your phone as the microphone. Every "no score" now says why.

New in this version

• A score after every song. Turn it on once and Kara-okay listens through the microphone while you sing, then shows your score when the song ends. Your voice is never recorded or kept. (On phones; a TV has no microphone.)
• Find a song by title or singer while singing. Mic menu → Find → ABC: letter keys made for the screen and for a TV remote.
• Or just say it. Tap the 🎙 in the search box (or press SEARCH on a TV remote) and say a title or a singer.
• Portrait: the song on top, the keypad below. Held upright, the video and lyrics fill the top and the keypad stays open underneath. Tap ⌄ to fold it away.
• No more black at the bottom. The video fills the screen, and the lyrics have a stronger outline so they stay easy to read.
• Sound mixer. Bass, Drums, Melody and the rest of the band from 0 to 200%, Bass boost and Treble, and Echo (Off, Light, Normal, Strong). In Settings and in the mic menu while you sing. MP3 songs take Bass boost and Treble.
• A melody guide that finds the tune. The guide melody now follows the part that matches the words, on every song. Switch it with the ♪ button beside Back, and choose how songs start in Settings → Singing.
• Fix the lyrics yourself. Mic menu → Controls → Fix lyrics: change the words, move them earlier or later, or tap along to set each line. Saved for that song. MP3 songs also take plain .txt lyrics.
• Big soundfonts welcome. No size limit of our own on .sf2 sounds: a big one loads only the instruments each song plays. A sound with only a piano still gets its bass and drums from the downloaded sound.
• Removing your own songs is easy. Long-press one in the song list, or Settings → Remove several songs. Your sounds have their own Remove.

New in this version

• Lyrics stay one size. No more lines that start small and suddenly get bigger. Every line is the same size, and a long line carries on underneath instead of shrinking.
• The song's title first. Each song opens on its title, big in the middle, like a videoke. The words come up just before the singing starts.
• A clean screen while you sing. After 3 seconds the logo, Back and mic buttons fade away. Tap the screen to bring them back.
• Next song at the top. The songs coming up move across the top of the screen, so everyone knows who is next.
• Portrait. Sing with the phone upright too. Settings → Singing screen: Auto-rotate, Landscape or Portrait. You can also change it from the mic menu while singing.
• Change the lyric size while singing. Mic menu → Controls → S, M, L or XL.
• Favorites. Tap the ♡ next to any song. Find them under the Favorites chip.
• History and Play again. The songs you sang are under History, newest first, with Play again.
• Favorites, History and your reserved songs in the mic menu, as icons, so you never leave the song to pick the next one.
• Add a whole folder. Settings → Your songs and sounds → Add a whole folder: every song, .lrc, .sf2 sound, photo and video in it, and in the folders inside it, comes in at once. No more one file at a time.
• Send from a computer. Open the address shown on the phone in your computer's browser and drag a whole folder onto the page. On a TV, the same works from a phone or a computer.
• More backgrounds at once. Pick many photos and videos in one go, and the same one is never added twice.
• Songbook in the app. The Songbook (PDF) button on the song list makes the songbook of every song on your phone, your own songs included, to open, print or share. On a TV, it's on the phone remote page.
• No more number voice while singing. The keypad only reads the numbers back on the song list.
• Back takes you back to where you were in the song list, not to the top.

New in this version

• Lyrics stay visible. The song menu now opens beside the lyrics instead of over them, so you can reserve the next song or change the tempo while you sing.
• Your own songs and sounds. In Settings → Your songs and sounds, add your own MIDI, KAR or MP3 songs and .sf2 sounds. An MP3 shows its words when you add its .lrc lyrics file with it (same name), or when the lyrics are inside the MP3 itself. Key and tempo work on MP3s too. Your songs are under My songs, with numbers from 90001.
• Android TV and Google TV. The same APK installs on TV boxes, with a layout for the remote's arrow keys. Number keys on the remote reserve songs.
• Phone remote. Use your phone to reserve songs and control the TV over the same Wi-Fi. Guests can scan the QR code on the TV with any phone, iPhone included, with nothing to install.
• Send from your phone (for TVs). A TV with no file picker shows a QR code: scan it with your phone, pick your song files, and they arrive on the TV.
• Colours and background. Settings → Look: Green, Ocean blue, Purple night, Rose or Soft dark, on a soft glow, the gradient or a plain background. Pick what is easiest on your eyes.
• Settings. Change the sound (with a short sample), the size, colour, outline and number of lyric lines, and the background behind the lyrics: videos, photos, plain, or your own photos and videos.
• Search finds songs by number too. Type the songbook number in the search box. The keypad is still in the song menu, the phone remote and the TV.
• Easier sound switching. Tap the sound name at the top of the song list. Mid-song, the song carries on from the same spot with the new sound.
• New songs download by themselves on Wi-Fi when they are added, and show with a New tag.
• Updates inside the app, from this version on: when a new version is out, Kara-okay offers it and installs it for you.
• The screen no longer turns off in the middle of a song.
