[Bug]: container installation failed

Summary

Added windows games will not start with the error container installation failed.

Does not affect games installed from steam.

Steps to reproduce

Download and install latest gamehub lite version from GitHub. Install apk. Add windows game, get prompt for file permission’s and accept. Touch back arrow to return to gamehub lite. Choose .exe file of game on internal storage. Launch game, get error container installation failed.
Go game settings > enter container desktop, get the same error.
Go Android settings > apps > gamehub lite > permissions. It says no permissions allowed. No all file access listed, only music and audio, microphone, nearby devices, and Photos and videos. Show all permissions reveals more, but no all file access listed.
Device storage has 70% free.

I have tried:

• different games
• restarting device
• reinstalling gamehub lite
• signing into steam first
• installing steam game first
• resetting caches, reinstalling firmware, any reset in all I could find

I have not tried:

• searching for an answer on discord. Trying to join emuready server says invite is expired.

Expected result

Containers are created, entering container desktop loads a windows like environment, added games boot.
Googling suggests this could be a permissions error, so since the file permissions isn’t an option for gamehub lite in Android settings, this could be a cause.

Actual result

Game immediately stops loading/booting and error is reported.

Completely reinstall your PC components and set everything up manually 👍🏾 starting with the firmware—this will fix your problem, which is an API-level bug.

Thanks Spetnaz, worked a treat.

For others, delete Gamehub Lite and its files. Reinstall, and then before loading any games or anything, install the firmware and all the other things you need (proton, box, all those things). Then load in your game.
