SEA-Stack v1.0.0-beta.3 is an updated public beta release of the SEA-Stack simulation platform.

Changes since v1.0.0-beta.2

  • External force / PTO modules — Added support for out-of-process Python PTO models over loopback IPC using external_pto YAML configuration. Supports TSDA (RM3) and RSDA (OSWEC) links through the PtoModule API.
  • Demos and documentation — RM3 and OSWEC external_pto demos, plotting scripts, and EXTERNAL_FORCE_MODULES.md are included in the release ZIP.
  • CLI — The case banner now displays the external PTO YAML file
  • macOS — Fixed external PTO child-process launching, including python3 and PATH resolution.
  • Release process — Added RELEASE_CHECKLIST.md. Report staging now expects PDF outputs generated using Pandoc and LaTeX.

  • Modular offshore and marine energy simulation capabilities
  • Examples, demos, and documentation for getting started
  • Packaged Windows and macOS builds with the VSG GUI
  • YAML-driven simulation workflows through run_seastack
