Extension 0.1.1 adds support for the formal Mognitio 1.0.0 language server and preserves 0.15.x compatibility. Future unverified versions, prereleases and metadata variants remain rejected.

Publisher/ID: mognitio.mognitio. Source: e26af5c927363858fc7f6e7068f3260665455410. Minimum VS Code: 1.91.0. Platform: Linux amd64 desktop, Ubuntu 24.04/26.04.

Validation: Node.js 24 npm ci, type check, 40 unit tests, packaging and whitespace checks passed. The installed stable VSIX passed normal, Restricted Mode, disabled, delayed diagnostics and manifest-save integration on both supported userlands (10 runs), plus a retained 0.15.1 connection test. Actual semantic rendering, diagnostics and owned server shutdown were observed. Userland tests share a kernel; other platforms were not tested.

VSIX SHA-256: 64058465e9468397c412b17a18e65d080339832569f31689e4a502b9040a1fcc.

Install this VSIX under the existing Mognitio publisher. Marketplace publication is deferred; the Marketplace still serves the 0.1.0 release. No compiler is bundled.

The packaged README compatibility table correctly states 0.1.1 support. A historical setup sentence retains the initial 0.1.0 version; the repository-only documentation follow-up removes that stale wording without replacing this immutable VSIX.

First stable Mognitio extension, independently versioned as 0.1.0. Publisher: Mognitio; extension ID: mognitio.mognitio. Supports formal language server 0.15.x, VS Code 1.91.0+, Ubuntu 24.04/26.04 amd64 desktop.

Install the separate Mognitio 0.15.0 toolchain, then use the VSIX or Marketplace. The GitHub-only preview used ProjectCuriositas.mognitio; uninstall that preview before installing this extension to avoid duplicate clients.

Validation: type check, 40 unit tests and exact stable VSIX integration in VS Code 1.91.0 on Ubuntu 24.04/26.04: diagnostics, semantic rendering, delayed notifications, manifest saves, Restricted Mode, disabled extension and server shutdown cleanup. Both userlands share the test host kernel. Remote-SSH, WSL, web and other OS/architectures are not supported in this release.

The VSIX is byte-identical to the copy included in the signed Mognitio v0.15.0 manifest. SHA256SUMS pins this immutable asset.

Initial public preview of the independently versioned Mognitio VS Code extension.

  • Extension version: 0.1.0, with VSIX pre-release metadata. Future releases use a distinct extension version.
  • Compatible toolchain contract: Mognitio 0.15.x, release-mode identity.
  • VS Code: 1.91.0 or later. Linux amd64 desktop; Ubuntu 24.04 and 26.04.
  • Install the attached VSIX with Extensions: Install from VSIX and configure a compatible external language server.
  • This published artifact passed the acceptance checks below. The Mognitio 0.15.0 toolchain used for acceptance is an unpublished candidate.
  • Marketplace distribution is not part of this release.

Acceptance results

The VSIX was downloaded from this release and its checksum verified before testing.

  • VS Code 1.91.0 on Ubuntu 24.04 and 26.04 amd64: semantic paint on/off, unsaved diagnostics and correction, dependency updates, manifest save/discard, delayed stale diagnostics, independent/overlapping roots, crash and explicit restart.
  • Restricted Mode and a disabled extension in a trusted workspace did not probe or launch a server.
  • After Extension Host shutdown, all recorded owned language-server PIDs were gone.
  • 40 extension unit tests passed, including real startup/cancellation/shutdown timer checks and forced termination of an unresponsive child process group.
  • Language acceptance added exact resource boundary and recovery tests, delayed worker-result rejection, installer failure preservation, and disposable-key rotation/revocation and APT tamper checks on both Ubuntu userlands.
  • The cumulative compiler regression suite passed.

The Ubuntu environments share one host kernel. Lifecycle unit tests use mocked editor/client APIs; installed-VSIX checks use real Electron/Extension Host windows. Test signing keys and local APT fixtures do not establish production distribution trust.

Evidence and reproducible tests: extension acceptance PR #9, language acceptance PR #71.
