v0.2.7
Added
- The muxel menu on macOS has Quit and the usual Hide items — the "muxel" menu
in the menu bar was empty, so there was no way to quit from it, and none of the
items every Mac app carries were there either. It now has Services, Hide muxel
(Cmd+H), Hide Others (Option+Cmd+H), Show All and Quit muxel (Cmd+Q). Quitting
from the menu asks the same confirmation as Cmd+Q, and now brings the main window
forward to ask it — a Quit from the menu bar, or Cmd+Q from a popped-out window,
could otherwise put the question in a main window that was minimized to the tray
or buried behind others, where nobody could see it.
Fixed
- A browser pane whose page can't load no longer crashes muxel on macOS — a
browser pane pointed at an address that couldn't be reached (a typo in the host,
a site that no longer exists, or simply being offline) crashed muxel a few
seconds after it started. The pane is reopened on every launch, so muxel then
crashed every time it was opened, until the saved workspace was edited by hand.
A page that fails to load now just leaves the pane where it is, and muxel carries
on. Thanks to @freddysae0
(#63). - Remote agents' prompts no longer fill up with "0;2501;1c" — every time a
remote pane reattached, tmux on the host asked muxel's terminal to identify
itself, and muxel only answered once it got round to drawing that pane: late for
a pane in the background, and later still whenever the window was busy. tmux
stops waiting after about five seconds and hands a late answer to the agent as if
it had been typed, so a stray0;2501;1clanded in the prompt — and since the
session outlives reconnects, another copy piled up with every late reattach.
muxel now answers these questions the moment they arrive, whether or not the pane
is on screen. Programs that ask the terminal several questions in a row still get
their answers in the order they asked. - A new project's first agent starts in tmux — with tmux turned on, opening a
folder as a new project launched its first pane outside tmux, so that one agent
stopped when muxel quit and couldn't be attached to from another machine. It only
moved into tmux the next time muxel started. The first pane now starts in its own
tmux session, like every pane after it.
