First versioned release of the project. Project versioning is now decoupled from the index content versions — image and code track this 0.x line, while indexes live on their own per-target release tags (mageos-X.Y.Z, hyva-X.Y.Z, deps-X.Y.Z).

What you get

  • A Dockerfile that bundles up to three pre-built GitNexus indexes for Mage-OS — Mage-OS core, Hyvä themes, and Magento's PHP runtime dependencies — served together as a group MCP server (@mageos-project) or as a web UI backend.
  • Index archives published as separate per-target GitHub releases: mageos-2.3.0, hyva-1.4.6, deps-2.3.0. Combined: ~154 MB download, 29,754 files, 233,274 nodes, 593,981 edges.
  • A rebuild mode (TARGET=mageos|hyva|deps|all) for users on Mage-OS or Hyvä versions not yet in the Available versions table — with a documented contribute-via-PR flow so the community can share index releases for their versions.
  • A docker-compose.yml for running the web UI backend (docker compose up gitnexus-ui + open https://gitnexus.vercel.app).

How to consume

docker build -t mage-os-gitnexus:latest .

Then either wire MCP into Claude Code / Cursor (see README) or:

MAGEOS_PROJECT_PATH=/path/to/mageos docker compose up gitnexus-ui

Build args

  • MAGEOS_VERSION=2.3.0 (default)
  • HYVA_VERSION=1.4.6 (default; none to skip)
  • INCLUDE_DEPS=1 (default; 0 to skip)
  • GITNEXUS_VERSION=1.6.6-rc.55 (default)

Honest limitations

  • The three indexes are grouped for federated MCP search (@mageos-project), not merged into a single call graph. Cross-index PHP class call edges (e.g. mage-os calling Symfony\Console) remain unresolved. gitnexus group sync runs at startup but only bridges service-style contracts (HTTP/gRPC/Topic).   • gitnexus upstream is PolyForm Noncommercial. Commercial Magento work (agency, billable freelance) needs a commercial GitNexus license — running locally does not exempt you. Contact: founders@akonlabs.com or the GitNexus Discord. See the README's License section for details.

Upstream

Built against gitnexus@1.6.6-rc.55+, which natively includes the OOM and phtml-scope fixes (#1800, #1801, #1808) that earlier work-in-progress versions of this project applied as patches.
