- Before placing the flaps on the body, press Shift-Q nine times, or just rotate the flaps 45° when placed on the node.
- Place the legs in the 4 holes on the bottom of the body.
- Place 4 [WIP Vac engines] and 4 [WIP ASL engines] on the circle of eight nodes at bottom.
- Fill her up and you're ready to fly!
- If you are using MechJeb, set the Booster Pitch Rate to around 0.4-0.6°/s and limit acceleration to around 20-30m/s.
- Ensure your flaps' control authority is set to 0 before launch and RCS authority is set to 10.
- (optional) Cutoff the sea-level engines when acceleration gets too high.
- For entry, it is recommended to use MechJeb to hold attitude, set it to Svel+ with a pitch of 10°, change the flaps' control authority back to 45°.
- If you need to brake to slow down, ensure the deploy limit is set between 7-10°. S-turns can be done under 6km/s.
- When you are below 70km (or when the flaps start dancing), disable the pitch and yaw thrusters.
- At about 10km, slowly change the pitch from 10° to 20°, or you could try 30° if you re-enable the RCS and set it to full power.
- At about 1km, relight the sea-level engines, flip and burn, and touch down!
Happy flying!
