v0.0.1 - Initial Release

I am excited to announce the first release of Sysyphus, a Python package aimed at easing the exploration and analysis of meteorite data from the MetBull database.

Features:

  • Direct access to up-to-date meteorite data from MetBull.
  • Advanced search capabilities that allow filtering by name, numeric ID range, country of fall, and meteorite type.
  • Interactive prompts guiding users through the search and refinement process without the need for complex query syntax.
  • Flexible output formats including pandas DataFrame and standard Python dictionary.
  • The creation of Python objects from search results for intuitive data manipulation.
  • Built-in rate limiting for batch data requests to ensure responsible usage of MetBull server resources.

How to Install:

Install Sysyphus easily with pip:

pip install sysyphus==0.0.1
