Channel Brains v0.1.4
Channel Brains v0.1.3
Plugin-owned indexing monitoring
Channel Brains now handles “let me know when done” itself.
Improvements
- Extends
get_brain_statuswithwait_until_terminal, bounded timeout, and local polling controls. - Emits MCP progress while monitoring local SQLite state.
- Adds
--wait-until-terminalto the same-session command bridge. - Returns explicit
waited, terminal, andtimed_outmetadata without adding a seventh tool. - Prevents agents from creating external scheduled tasks, heartbeats, or task-level polling loops for completion monitoring.
- Keeps detached ingestion resumable if the client closes while accurately explaining that a closed conversation cannot receive a plugin message.
- Improves installation language around stale caches, discovered tools, and channel-URL consent.
Verification
- 99 offline tests passed.
- CI passed on Windows, macOS, and Python 3.10 through 3.14 on Linux.
- MCP stdio progress delivery passed.
- A real two-process local monitor returned correctly on a
queuedtoreadytransition. - A fresh-agent test of “lmk when done” selected one plugin-owned wait and no automation.

Improvements
- Adds native plugin packaging for ZCode, Claude Code, and Codex, plus the Hermes MCP adapter.
- Automates ZCode user-scope installation without Settings or config replacement.
- Adds the
channel-brainssame-session bridge with all six MCP operation names and matching structured JSON. - Keeps
create_brainingestion running in a detached local worker when invoked through the bridge. - Lets the installing agent continue immediately when the current task freezes newly installed MCP tools.
- Handles the Hermes enable-all prompt and verifies six-tool discovery.
Verification
- 96 offline tests passed.
- CI passed on Windows, macOS, and Python 3.10 through 3.14 on Linux.
- Isolated installs verified with Claude Code, Codex, and Hermes Agent.
