PyBLE firmware v0.4.2 — hardware-tested beta

PyBLE firmware v0.4.2 is available for two exact board profiles. This remains a beta release: production-browser erase/install and interrupted-flash recovery passed on both profiles, while the broader formal firmware, resource, PBLE/1, and app qualification matrices remain pending.

Back up board files first. Flashing erases the existing firmware and workspace. Select only the exact matching profile.

Install

Use the production installer at pyble.dev/flash from a supported desktop Chromium browser. iPadOS cannot perform wired browser provisioning; after provisioning, normal PyBLE operation remains BLE-first.

The attached checksum file verifies the archive. The archive also contains SHA256SUMS for all 17 bundled release files.

The immutable bundled HIL_REPORT.md is the pre-public qualification ledger and therefore still records the wider matrix as pending. The later supplemental attestation closes only browser_erase_install and interrupted_flash_recovery for the two exact profiles and exact bytes above.

Release-note clarification

The immutable bundle says “same exact qualified profile.” For this beta, read that as same exact listed hardware profile; the release is hardware-tested within the scope stated above, not formally qualified.
