@github-actions github-actions released this 06 Oct 01:15

designer-skill-mcp v0.22.0

  • Unify designer craft and UX guidance into one self-contained skill with 50 references.
  • Align Niblet platform and MCP handoffs: image-backed references, material routing, hosted components, license and scope safeguards.
  • Fix selected-screen REST envelope parsing and reject malformed catalogue payloads.
  • Require host-owned verification plans and final-revision evidence in run-report v2; static checks never certify rendered readiness.
  • Add portable report validation, generated UX synchronization and behavioral action-plan regressions.
  • Patch vulnerable proxy-addr, source-map-js, fast-uri and ip-address transitive dependencies.

Run-report v1 fails closed. Update host report readers/writers together with the bundled v2 schema and validator; regenerate legacy reports from real evidence. Niblet remains optional, and hosted component retrieval does not grant file-write or dependency-install authority.

Automated tests and package smoke checks verify contracts and packaging, not model design quality, actual tool-use compliance or rendered UI outcomes. Live Niblet catalogue/image verification is not claimed.

Niblet: NIBLET_TOKEN values that are not Niblet account keys (niblet_at_…) are no longer sent; the tools return setup guidance instead and never echo the value. get_design_reference now matches Niblet's API contract: packSlug alone works (sent as slug), screenId is optional, sections are overview/colors/typography/components/provenance (deduplicated), a call with neither id sends nothing, and a screen without a reference reads as such instead of HTTP 404.

BREAKING: .designer-skill config files with a legacy hook section are now rejected (CONFIG_INVALID); rename hook to detector. Scans: when git fails inside a work tree (timeout, output cap, safe.directory), the filesystem fallback now reports why in coverage.gitListingError and the gate summary (.gitignore not applied). Roots: client roots that do not resolve to a local path are named in the SCOPE_VIOLATION (details.unusableRoots); an invalid roots list is SCOPE_VIOLATION instead of a raw SDK error. Tools: every tool returns thrown errors in the standard failure JSON shape. Interactive HTTP runs say why an update check failed. Tests are now type-checked in CI and release.

BREAKING: the HTTP transport now requires --root on every bind, loopback included. Gate: config.local.json can no longer hide files (ignoreFiles) or waive required-rule values; detect_antipatterns enforces the same required rules. HTTP: Host and bearer token are checked before the body is parsed; --allowed-host adds to the loopback names instead of replacing them. The design prompt reports routing errors instead of throwing; non-object Niblet responses are handled. References: one value each for touch targets (24 AA / 44 AAA), loading and toast timing, exit easing, type scale and shadows. CI: the npm job waits until the version is visible before the MCP registry job runs.

@elkaix elkaix released this 27 Jun 20:57

Adds css-techniques, a fifteenth reference file: a modern CSS implementation cookbook (resets, centering, selectors/specificity, logical properties, container queries, :has(), clamp(), Baseline-bucketed features) derived from AllThingsSmitty/css-protips (MIT) plus curated Baseline 2024–2026 additions.

  • New css dispatch verb; css-techniques routed into the implementation-heavy verbs (check, finish, ship, speed, layout, responsive, refresh) and the SKILL.md Implement step, so the agent applies idiomatic CSS when designing and fixing styles.
  • get_reference / MCP resource list now expose all 15 references.
  • README reference count reconciled to 15 (also restored the previously-missing differentiation-playbook row).

Verification: npm run build && npm test → 56/56 pass.
