Bug Fixes and Application Resilience

  • ICMP Probe Exception and Cancellation Hardening (ConnectivityMonitor.cs): Replaced raw catch blocks with non-logging PingException and OperationCanceledException handlers during device reachability checks, eliminating log flooding on offline endpoints while properly propagating cancellation.
  • Background Monitor Task Cancellation Safety (ConnectivityMonitor.cs): Guarded StartMonitoringAsync with explicit OperationCanceledException handling to prevent unobserved task exceptions during background service termination.
  • Headless Release Deployment Probe Resilience (Deploy-NodeRadar.ps1): Wrapped the GitHub release existence check in SilentlyContinue error handling, preventing PowerShell terminating error records during automated deployments.

Test Coverage and Quality Assurance

  • Connectivity Monitor Exception Handling Tests (ConnectivityMonitorTests.cs): Added unit tests verifying unroutable RFC 5737 addresses execute without throwing, cancellation tokens abort in-flight sweeps cleanly and monitor tasks stop gracefully.
