unslop-windows v1.1.0

Fixed

  • Windows PowerShell 5.1 Dual-Runtime Compatibility:
    • Replaced Unicode em dashes (—, byte 0x94) with standard hyphens in unslop.ps1 service descriptions, preventing premature string-quote termination under Windows-1252 ANSI codepages.
    • Simplified mock service status in tests/unslop.Tests.ps1 from .NET [System.ServiceProcess.ServiceControllerStatus] to string literals ("Running" / "Stopped"), preventing type resolution exceptions in environments where System.ServiceProcess is not preloaded.
  • Local Master Gate (Test-MasterGate.ps1): Refactored Pester 5 subprocess invocation to execute via parameterized script block instead of an escaped command string. Eliminates Windows PowerShell 5.1 command-line expression parsing error (At line:1 char:890) during automated CI execution.
  • CI/CD Summary Steps (lint.yml, release.yml): Replaced raw UTF-8 emoji literals in workflow summary blocks with standard ASCII GitHub Markdown shortcodes (:test_tube:, :bar_chart:, :shield:, :white_check_mark:, :x:). Resolves Windows PowerShell 5.1 ANSI codepage script parsing corruption on GitHub Actions runners.

Quick Installation & Usage

  1. Download unslop-windows-v1.1.0.zip from Assets below.
  2. Extract the archive to any directory.
  3. Right-click unslop.bat and choose Run as administrator (or double-click and accept the UAC elevation prompt).
  4. Select an option from the interactive menu:
    • [1] Full Debloat: Remove OneDrive, telemetry and provisioned bloatware.
    • [2] Gamer Preset: Debloat, keep Xbox & Gaming Services (-KeepXbox).
    • [3] Productivity Preset: Debloat, keep OneDrive & Microsoft To-Do (-KeepOneDrive -KeepTodos).
    • [4] Interactive Toggles: Configure custom feature combinations with visual toggle states.
    • [5] Safe Dry-Run Audit: Inspect all changes safely with zero system modifications (-DryRun).
    • [6] Full Restore / Undo: Symmetrically revert all tweaks back to defaults (-Undo).
    • [7] Custom CLI Flags: Manually enter parameter switches (e.g. -KeepTodos -KeepXbox -NoRestart).
    • [0] Exit: Close the launcher.
