unslop-windows v1.2.0

Added

  • Universal Windows 10 Debloat Engine (unslop-win10.ps1): Complete, standalone debloater and privacy hardener targeting all Windows 10 versions (Build 10240 through 19045 22H2). Replicates all 6 core helper functions for complete isolation from the Windows 11 engine, with full 100% symmetrical -Undo restoration and safe non-elevated -DryRun audit support.
  • Windows 10-Specific Debloating Modules (unslop-win10.ps1):
    • Cortana Removal: Group Policy enforcement (AllowCortana = 0, AllowSearchToUseLocation = 0, SearchboxTaskbarMode = 0, AllowCortanaAboveLock = 0) coupled with dual-stage de-provisioning and removal of the Cortana UWP app (Microsoft.549981C3F5F10).
    • Taskbar & Explorer Cleanup: Disables News & Interests (Feeds\ShellFeedsTaskbarViewMode = 2), hides the People Bar (PeopleBand = 0), hides Meet Now (HideSCAMeetNow = 1) and shows file extensions.
    • Win10 Bloatware De-Provisioning: Dual-stage AppX package removal targeting Print3D, 3DBuilder, 3DViewer, OneConnect, Paint 3D, Skype, Alarms, Maps, Sound Recorder, Mail & Calendar and Mixed Reality Portal while strictly protecting the untouchable whitelist (Store, Winget, XboxIdentityProvider, classic Paint).
    • Unified Dual-OS Batch Launcher (unslop.bat): Added interactive OS selection menu (Windows 11 vs Windows 10) on launch, OS-specific feature toggle sub-menus (omitting the irrelevant Classic Context Menu toggle for Win10), -Win10 CLI flag pass-through routing and -SkipBuildCheck whitelist support.
  • Dedicated Windows 10 Pester Test Suite (tests/unslop-win10.Tests.ps1): 38 unit, mocking, integration and AST parity test cases verifying helper functions, parameter switches, privilege boundaries and Win10-specific invariants (Cortana, News & Interests, PeopleBand, Meet Now).
  • Local Master Quality Gate Multi-OS Support (scripts/Test-MasterGate.ps1): Added -Win10 and -SkipBuildCheck switches to dynamically route AST syntax, Pester tests, DryRun audits and batch launcher passthrough tests to either Windows 10 or Windows 11 targets.
  • Quad-Target CI Quality Gate (.github/workflows/lint.yml): Added quality-gate-win10-core (PS7 Core) and quality-gate-win10-desktop (PS 5.1 Desktop) workflows, ensuring both Windows 10 and Windows 11 engines are validated on every commit and PR.
  • Release Automation Upgrades (.github/workflows/release.yml): Added pre-flight testing for both OS targets, bundle packaging for unslop-win10.ps1 and automated SHA-256 checksum generation for the Win10 script.
  • Architectural Decision Record (docs/decisions.md): Documented ADR-022 detailing the multi-OS support architecture, dual-script engine isolation and unified launcher design.
  • Windows 10 Internals Documentation: Complete reference for Windows 10 telemetry, Cortana suppression, Feeds and servicing build differences.

Quick Installation & Usage

  1. Download unslop-windows-v1.2.0.zip from Assets below.
  2. Extract the archive to any directory.
  3. Right-click unslop.bat and choose Run as administrator (or double-click and accept the UAC elevation prompt).
  4. Select your operating system from the selection menu:
    • [1] Windows 11: Targets 25H2, 24H2, 23H2, 22H2, 21H2 (runs unslop-win11.ps1).
    • [2] Windows 10: Targets 22H2, 21H2, 20H2, Enterprise LTSC, Builds 10240-19045 (runs unslop-win10.ps1).
    • [0] Exit: Close the launcher.
  5. Choose an option from the OS feature menu:
    • [1] Full Debloat: Remove OneDrive, telemetry and provisioned bloatware.
    • [2] Gamer Preset: Debloat, keep Xbox & Gaming Services (-KeepXbox).
    • [3] Productivity Preset: Debloat, keep OneDrive & Microsoft To-Do (-KeepOneDrive -KeepTodos).
    • [4] Interactive Toggles: Configure custom feature combinations with visual toggle states.
    • [5] Safe Dry-Run Audit: Inspect all changes safely with zero system modifications (-DryRun).
    • [6] Full Restore / Undo: Symmetrically revert all tweaks back to defaults (-Undo).
    • [7] Custom CLI Flags: Manually enter parameter switches (e.g. -KeepTodos -KeepXbox -NoRestart).
    • [8] Back to OS Selection: Return to the main OS choice screen.
    • [0] Exit: Close the launcher.
