  • Xbox Game Bar & Game DVR Telemetry Suppression: Added complete de-provisioning and removal of Xbox Game Bar packages (Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay, Microsoft.XboxGameOverlay, Microsoft.XboxSpeechToTextOverlay) under if (-not $KeepXbox) across Windows 11 and Windows 10. Added policy suppression of Game DVR hotkeys (Win+G) and background capture (AppCaptureEnabled = 0, HistoricalCaptureEnabled = 0, GameDVR_Enabled = 0, AllowGameDVR = 0) with 100% symmetrical -Undo restoration. Added symmetrical management of Xbox Live daemon services (XblAuthManager, XblGameSave, XboxNetApiSvc, XboxGipSvc).
  • Edge Copilot & Sidebar Policy Suppression: Hardened Module 14 in both engines with HubsSidebarEnabled = 0 and AllowCopilot = 0 under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge to suppress Copilot and promotional sidebar web hubs in Edge, with clean -Undo reversal.
  • Windows 10 Copilot Parity: Backported Windows Copilot Group Policy enforcement (TurnOffWindowsCopilot = 1, ShowCopilotButton = 0) to unslop-win10.ps1 for Windows 10 22H2 (KB5032278) systems.
  • Start Menu & Edge Apps Sponsored Stub Scrub: Added automatic cleanup of promotional web shortcut files (*LinkedIn*.lnk, *LinkedIn*.url, *Copilot*.lnk) from all user and machine Start Menu Programs locations in Module 4.
  • Architectural Decision Record (ADR-030): Documented root cause analysis and eradication architecture for Game Bar, LinkedIn stubs, and Copilot apps in docs/decisions.md.

Fixed

  • LinkedIn DISM Provisioned Package Survival: Resolved an issue where LinkedIn was not de-provisioned from the Windows system image because Get-AppxProvisionedPackage reports DisplayName as LinkedIn while PackageName begins with 7EE7776C.LinkedInforWindows. Updated DISM package filters across both engines to match against both PackageName and DisplayName.
  • Copilot App & Provider Leakage: Resolved an issue where the standalone Copilot app and background provider (Microsoft.Windows.Ai.Copilot.Provider) remained installed on clean installations of Windows 11 and Windows 10.
  • Xbox Game Bar Retention on Full Debloat: Resolved an issue where the Xbox Game Bar app and Game DVR background listeners persisted on fresh installs when running without -KeepXbox.

Quick Installation & Usage

  1. Download unslop-windows-v1.3.6.zip from Assets below.
  2. Extract the archive to any directory.
  3. Right-click unslop.bat and choose Run as administrator (or double-click and accept the UAC elevation prompt).
  4. Select your operating system from the selection menu:
    • [1] Windows 11: Targets 26H1, 25H2, 24H2, 23H2, 22H2, 21H2 (runs unslop-win11.ps1).
    • [2] Windows 10: Targets 22H2, 21H2, 20H2, Enterprise LTSC, Builds 10240-19045 (runs unslop-win10.ps1).
    • [0] Exit: Close the launcher.
  5. Choose an option from the OS feature menu:
    • [1] Full Debloat: Remove OneDrive, telemetry and provisioned bloatware.
    • [2] Gamer Preset: Debloat, keep Xbox & Gaming Services (-KeepXbox).
    • [3] Productivity Preset: Debloat, keep OneDrive & Microsoft To-Do (-KeepOneDrive -KeepTodos).
    • [4] Interactive Toggles: Configure custom feature combinations with visual toggle states.
    • [5] Safe Dry-Run Audit: Inspect all changes safely with zero system modifications (-DryRun).
    • [6] Full Restore / Undo: Symmetrically revert all tweaks back to defaults (-Undo).
    • [7] Custom CLI Flags: Manually enter parameter switches (e.g. -KeepTodos -KeepXbox -NoRestart).
    • [8] Back to OS Selection: Return to the main OS choice screen.
    • [0] Exit: Close the launcher.
