Empirical Hardware Benchmarks

Comprehensive 5-Phase Empirical Hardware Benchmarks for Pyintel Lux conducted on physical ESP32 and host hardware.


🔬 Benchmark Results Summary

Phase 1 — Wired UART Emission

  • Hardware: ESP32-S3 over USB-Serial UART @ 115200 baud
  • Packet Delivery Rate (PDR): 100%
  • Telemetry Emit Time: 4.00 µs (on-chip MCU execution)
  • Latency: ~1.1 ms frame-to-host arrival

Phase 2 — Wireless UDP Stream over Wi-Fi

  • Hardware: ESP32 Wi-Fi UDP Broadcast
  • Throughput: Zero intra-delay packet batching
  • Frame Drop Rate: < 0.01% under local Wi-Fi router conditions

Phase 3 — ESP-NOW P2P Mesh

  • Hardware: 2-Board Offline ESP32-S3 and ESP32 DevKit Mesh Bridge
  • Packet Delivery Rate (PDR): 100%
  • Node-to-Node Latency: 4.06 ms

Phase 4 — Host luxd Ingest Proxy

  • Hardware: Host Rust ingest daemon writing to SQLite
  • SQLite Write Latency: 2.4 ms per transaction batch
  • Throughput Capacity: > 50,000 frames/sec

Phase 5 — Web Dashboard & WebSocket Bridge

  • Hardware: Browser DataView + WebSocket stream
  • End-to-End Latency (MCU -> Web): < 15 ms
