Electrical Management ⚡ Release 1.0.0
Electrical Management ⚡ Release 1.0.0
This release is a complete rewrite of the Electrical Management app. It introduces a new architecture, a split‑out price‑calculator, and several breaking changes.
🚨 Breaking Changes
| Feature | What changed | How to adapt |
|---|---|---|
| Electricity price calculation | All price logic was moved to the new ElectricalPriceCalc app (≥ 0.1.6). | 1. Install ElectricalPriceCalc. 2. Add it to your Electrical Management config: electricalPriceApp: electricalPriceCalc |
| Configuration keys | notify_reciever → notify_receiver | Update your yaml config files. |
| Persistent JSON storage | The app now writes a single JSON file to <config_dir>/persistent/electricity/ (or to the path defined by json_path). |
Backup and delete the old file before upgrading. |
| Climate & heater switches | Must be defined with the entity ID only, no name of entity. | Change any name: entries to the exact entity ID. |
| Weather sensors | No more weather configuration – the app relies entirely on the ad‑Weather app. | Install ad‑Weather. To get outdoor temp etc into ElectricalManagement |
✨ New Features & Enhancements
| Category | Feature |
|---|---|
| Multi‑location support | home_name now determines the source of consumption notifications when running on multiple installations. |
| High‑consumption hours | Adjusts the calculations for reaching max kW pr hour when a strict max_kwh_goal is defined. Useful for dinner‑time or other peak periods where turning down controlled heating is not enough. Long‑press the high‑usage notification to add the hour to the list or modify the json when appdaemon is not running. |
| Lightwand translation support | App can now use Lightwand translation.json to change mode it listens for. App will turn off charging and heating when fire mode is detected. |
| Pydantic storage | A complete refactor of the persistence layer for cleaner, type‑safe data handling. |
| Improved logic | Minor performance tweaks and bug fixes for edge cases in energy calculations. |
