Overview

Infomatics is a research program investigating the mathematical structure of information as the fundamental substrate of physical reality. Rather than treating information as derivative from matter, energy, or computation, Infomatics asks: what if information is fundamental — and matter, energy, space, and time are emergent from its structure?

Core Thesis

Information is not a description of reality — information IS reality. Physical systems are particular realizations of more fundamental information-theoretic structures. The laws of physics are constraints on information flow, not descriptions of independently-existing matter.
