Release Notes — v161.2.3
QSOLKCB/QEC v161.2.3 — Post-v161 Roadmap Consolidation & Deterministic QLDPC Normalization
Release Summary
v161.2.3 finalizes the post-v161 transition line by:

fully rewriting and consolidating ROADMAP.md

extending the roadmap through v190.x

formalizing deterministic infrastructure and operator-surface planning

adding IEEE 754 precision-contract planning

normalizing the remaining qldpc-backed CSS construction workflow

eliminating the final intentional pytest skip

preserving zero warnings

This release closes the v161 stabilization era and prepares the repository for:
v162.x — IRC Operator Control Surface

Major Changes
🧭 ROADMAP.md Fully Rewritten
ROADMAP.md was fully restructured into a modern deterministic roadmap covering:
v162.x → v190.x
The new roadmap preserves:

the completed v151 → v161 proof spine

stabilization lineage

deterministic doctrine

receipt semantics

replay guarantees

while extending the repository into:

operator interfaces

backend normalization

reproducible builds

QLDPC / qudit systems

benchmark receipts

symbolic grammar boundaries

deterministic knowledge systems

IEEE754 precision contracts

cross-environment replay receipts

hermetic environments

global proof composition v2

🧠 IEEE 754 Precision & Approximation Receipts Added
A new roadmap phase was added:
v176.5.x — IEEE 754 Precision & Approximation Receipts
This phase formalizes:

FP32 / FP64 / FP16 / BF16 precision manifests

ULP comparison receipts

reduced-precision adapter boundaries

safe bit reinterpretation policy

bounded approximation receipts

fast inverse square root

fast exponent/log approximations

sign-bit operations

float ordering semantics

The roadmap now explicitly states:
The receipt is the boundary. The hack is not the proof.
Historical pointer-punning examples are treated as:

research signals

historical pseudocode

not implementation guidance

Modern safe reinterpretation policies are now explicitly planned.

🔧 Deterministic qldpc Normalization
The final remaining pytest skip was eliminated.
A deterministic in-repo:
src/qldpc/css_code.py
implementation was added providing:

ProtographPair

CSSCode

create_code

PREDEFINED_CODES

The implementation:

preserves deterministic construction

validates GF-level orthogonality

validates binary CSS orthogonality

enforces invariant checks

integrates with existing protograph workflows

No uncontrolled dependency resolution was introduced.
No unrestricted PyPI normalization was introduced.

🔁 Canonical Protograph Compatibility Restored
The CSS constructor now accepts the repository’s existing canonical protograph representation.
A compatibility extraction layer was added so both:

existing upstream/canonical protograph objects

local deterministic representations

can interoperate safely.
This prevents parallel incompatible protograph ecosystems from emerging inside QEC.

🛡 GF(2^e) Element Validation Added
Explicit GF range validation was added before:

multiplication-table indexing

companion-matrix construction

orthogonality checks

Invalid entries now fail immediately with deterministic ValueErrors.
This prevents:

negative wrap indexing

out-of-range corruption

latent orthogonality failures

⚠️ Numerical Warning Preservation Improved
InfoMassGravity.relative_entropy() was hardened.
Behavior now:

preserves all caught SciPy numerical warnings

remaps only “exactly singular” conditions to:

LinAlgWarning

This keeps numerical instability visible while still stabilizing deterministic warning behavior across SciPy versions.

🧹 ROADMAP Formatting / Metadata Hardening
Additional roadmap hardening fixes included:

fenced block correction

stable metadata formatting

sequential reference numbering

removal of malformed roadmap artifacts

This improves:

deterministic parsing

metadata extraction

roadmap test stability

generated-document robustness

Test Results
Targeted Validation
pytest -q tests/test_css_construction.py
Result:
PASSED

Relative Entropy + Metadata Validation
pytest -q tests/test_info_mass_gravity.py::test_relative_entropy tests/test_retro_camera_projection_pipeline.py::TestFinalizationHardening::test_roadmap_version_metadata
Result:
PASSED

Full Validation
pytest -q -ra
Result:
17640 passed0 skipped0 warnings

Files Changed
ROADMAP.mdsrc/info_mass_gravity.pysrc/qldpc/css_code.py

Scope Boundaries Preserved
v161.2.3 changes:

roadmap structure

deterministic roadmap planning

qldpc normalization

warning stabilization

protograph interoperability

validation hardening

only.
It does not change:
canonical proof semanticsstable hashesglobal replay proof behaviordecoder logicreceipt identity contractsvalidator replay guarantees

Release Line Closure
The v161 stabilization line now concludes as:
v161.2→ GlobalReplayProofv161.2.1→ Documentation / installer / dependency normalizationv161.2.2→ Deterministic pytest cleanup / dependency governancev161.2.3→ Post-v161 roadmap consolidation / deterministic qldpc normalization
The next implementation frontier becomes:
v162.0→ Local IRC Server Core

Final Result
After v161.2.3:
QEC now has:

a clean deterministic roadmap through v190.x

deterministic qldpc normalization

zero skipped tests

zero warnings

explicit IEEE754 precision-contract planning

stronger roadmap metadata integrity

stronger numerical-warning semantics

fully replay-stable pytest state

The world may be chaotic.
The receipts now compile cleanly.

Gremlin Notes (Non-Canonical)

  • qldpc gremlin finally received deterministic citizenship papers.- unsafe pointer-punning goblin formally demoted to historical folklore.- roadmap formatting gremlin removed from fenced-block containment breach.- singular-matrix warning gremlin reclassified instead of silenced.- protograph compatibility goblin prevented from forking reality.
