Elements 1.0 is the first public release of the local-first browser extension for hiding, editing, and restyling webpage elements.

Highlights

  • Pick page elements and hide them, edit their text, or round their corners.
  • Undo changes, preview saved rules, and manage settings per site.
  • Export and import all settings as a JSON backup.
  • Polished popup, switch, picker overlay, and settings-card motion.
  • New Elements brand mark and a complete browser icon set.
  • No analytics, ads, remote code, or developer-operated backend.

Downloads

  • elements-1.0.0-chrome.zip — Chrome and Chromium browsers.
  • elements-1.0.0-firefox.zip — Firefox development/self-distribution build.
  • elements-1.0.0-safari.zip — Safari WebExtension input for conversion and signing in Xcode.

These archives are unsigned. Store distribution still requires the signing and review process of each browser.

Verification

  • TypeScript typecheck passed.
  • All automated tests passed.
  • Chrome, Firefox, and Safari production builds passed in GitHub Actions.
  • Production dependency audit: 0 vulnerabilities.
