We are thrilled to introduce the initial release of Bifrost, the ultra-lightweight, battery-friendly local SOCKS5 bridge for Android that tunnels official Telegram MTProto traffic through Cloudflare Workers using the TWP (MTProto-over-WebSocket) protocol.

Say goodbye to heavy VPNs, battery-draining background services, and persistent VPN key icons in your status bar. Bifrost gives you an unblocked, direct, and private Telegram experience powered by Cloudflare's global edge network.

  • 🚫 No VpnService & Zero Root Required:
    Operates entirely on the local loopback interface (127.0.0.1:5050). Your device-wide network and other apps remain completely untouched.
  • ⚡️ Wake-on-Demand (Zero-Idle Architecture):
    Consumes 0.0% CPU and zero battery while Telegram is idle. The Linux kernel suspends the bridge and wakes it instantaneously upon the first MTProto packet.
  • 🛡 Cloudflare Clean IP / CDN IP Support:
    Bypass severe SNI filtering, domain bans, and ISP throttling by routing WebSocket handshakes directly to clean Cloudflare Anycast IPs.
  • 🔗 RFC 3986 Standardized Link (twp://):
    Full support for universal proxy link standards:
    twp://[secret@]workerHost[:port]?clean_ip=cleanIp#ConfigName
  • 🚀 Zero-Click Deep Link Automation:
    Tapping any twp:// link or sharing a link into Bifrost automatically imports the proxy in the background, starts the local bridge, and prompts Telegram's native proxy confirmation screen with zero UI flicker.

🚀 Quick Start Guide

  1. Install the APK: Download and install app-release.apk from the Assets below.
  2. Deploy your Cloudflare Worker:

    • Tap + > Paste from Clipboard or scan your Worker's QR code.
  4. Connect Telegram:
    • Tap the worker card, then tap Connect Telegram.
    • Tap Enable Proxy in Telegram (SOCKS5 127.0.0.1:5050) and enjoy unrestricted connectivity!
