QuantEcon/lecture-python-intro#811 has merged, so the three datasets landed in #27 are now read from this repo's interim raw URL:

dataset consumer
ames_house_prices.csv observed_distributions.md
japan_deaths_by_age.csv observed_distributions.md
us_adult_heights.csv observed_distributions.md + prob_dist.md, which dropped its _static/ copy in the same PR

All three move landedrepointed with the repoint PR recorded. The audit reconciles this file against a fresh scan of the lecture repos, so leaving them at landed while the consumers read the URL is a build failure by design.

Also drops a now-stale comment that told the reader to flip these records once the lecture PR merged.

No manifest changes: the consumers lists were already correct in #27, and scripts/audit_annotations.yml has no entries for these files to remove.

Note on the build check

It has been failing on main since before #27 — the scheduled run on 2026-07-27 failed with missing_annotations: NEWQDATA.csv plus several missing_api_annotations, none of them related to this work. Since deploy is gated on build, the published dashboard is not refreshing, so it still shows 4 datasets rather than 7. Happy to clear that annotations backlog in a separate PR if useful.

Part of QuantEcon/meta#336

QuantEcon/lecture-python-intro#811 merged, so all three datasets landed in
#27 are now read from this repo's interim raw URL by lecture-python-intro:
ames_house_prices.csv and japan_deaths_by_age.csv by the new
observed_distributions lecture, and us_adult_heights.csv by that lecture and
by prob_dist, which dropped its _static/ copy in the same PR.

The audit reconciles this file against a scan of the lecture repos, so
leaving the records at `landed` while the consumers read the URL would fail
the strict build.

Also drops a stale comment that told the reader to flip these records once
the lecture PR merged.

The strict scan flagged lecture-python-intro:observed_distributions:yfinance
as unannotated. The reference is not new to the series — #811 split the
observed-data half of prob_dist into the new lecture, and the AMZN/COST
downloads went with it.

So this moves the existing annotation rather than adding one, and drops the
prob_dist key, which now describes a call that lecture no longer makes.
