Getting Started

Follow these instructions to set up the project on your local machine for development and testing purposes.

Prerequisites

To run the VoiceClone app, you'll need:

• Node.js (v14 or higher)
• npm (v6 or higher)
• React Native (v0.64 or higher)
• Android Studio or Xcode for mobile development
• Firebase for backend services
• Google Cloud Text-to-Speech API for voice cloning

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/yourusername/voiceclone.git

2. Navigate to the project directory:

cd voiceclone

3. Install the dependencies:

npm install

4. Set up Firebase:

   • Create a new Firebase project
   • Enable Authentication and Firestore services
   • Add your Firebase configuration to src/config/firebase.js

5. Set up Google Cloud Text-to-Speech API:

   • Create a new Google Cloud project
   • Enable the Text-to-Speech API
   • Create a service account and download the JSON key
   • Add the path to your JSON key in src/config/google-cloud.js

6. Run the app on your preferred platform:

npm run android

or

npm run ios

Usage

Cloning Your Voice

1. Sign up for an account or log in to the app.
2. Follow the prompts to record a sample of your voice.
3. Record various sentences to help the AI capture the nuances of your voice.
4. The app will process your voice to create a high-quality clone.
5. Review the cloned voice and make any necessary adjustments for accuracy.

Using Your Cloned Voice

1. Select books from the library and have your cloned voice read them aloud.
